Kempton Park Tips: Tradesman to close show in style

Kempton steps in for the regular Wednesday evening card and it’s an action packed night with a bumper eight races from the Sunbury venue.

The meeting is highlighted by a pair of London Mile Series qualifying handicaps at 19:20 and 19:50.

17:15 – Moondial @ SP

Wednesday’s evening action gets under way with an apprentice handicap over seven furlongs and it can go the way of last time out scorer MOONDIAL.

Daniel and Claire Kubler’s charge won at this trip at Salisbury in an apprentice handicap last time out and that win followed a series of consistent placed efforts. The three-year-old has a six pound penalty for that victory, but half of that is offset by Alex Jary’s claim and there could well be more to come from this daughter of Time Test.

Moondial got the better of Boom Boom Pow, who finished back in third at Salisbury, she has also finished in front of today’s rivals Musterion and White Mist she looks to have the opposition covered.

17:50 – Proud Fairy @ SP

PROUD FAIRY ran a disappointing race at Brighton last time out, but Gary Moore’s runner has a fair better record at all-weather tracks and the four-year-old’s chances tonight are better judged on her synthetic surface runs.

Moore’s charge scored well at Chelmsford three starts ago, beating subsequent winner Dors Toyboy into second and she also ran with credit when losing out by just a head in third at Lingfield on her following run.

There should be more to come from the lightly raced four-year-old and Proud Fairy looks a magic bet at Kempton this evening.

Horse Racing Odds

20:50 – Tradesman @ SP

TRADESMAN goes for David Simcock and Hayley Turner in the final race of the evening and the four-year-old looks good value to carve out a success.

The son of Mastercraftsman is yet to achieve anything of note in a six-race career, but there was promise of more to come at Wolverhampton last time out and there are a few reasons to be hopeful of an improved showing.

The step up to two miles on a galloping track should see Tradesman to better effect, the cheekpieces are on for the first time and he may well outrun a big price in the nightcap.
