A submit on X, previously often called Twitter, from Radio 1’s press account shared: “Radio 1 will be saying goodbye to Jordan North. Jordan has been behind some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments on air over the years, and has been a constant source of inspiration for younger presenters. Thank you for everything.”

Meanwhile, the top of Radio 1, Aled Haydn Jones, stated that North had been “an amazing presenter and a valued colleague at Radio 1, and I’m so proud of his journey with us”.

They added: “He has always connected with the Radio 1 audience through his shows and projects, as witnessed by the huge amount of money raised for Comic Relief during his rowing trip from London to Burnley.”

Jamie Laing set to exchange Jordan North on Radio 1

Jamie Laing will host the Going Home present between 3.30pm and 6pm Monday to Thursdays alongside Vick Hope.

He will take over from Monday, March 4, having beforehand offered on Radio 1 throughout Mollie King’s maternity leave, describing it as “an absolute dream”, BBC News reports.

Speaking in regards to the alternative, Laing stated: “I’ve cherished each minute that I’ve been on air with Radio 1 lately, so to be becoming a member of Vick on Drivetime is simply unbelievable.
