IPVanish not working with DAZN? Here’s what to do

IPVanish not working with DAZN

DAZN is available in over 200 different countries. However, each DAZN region differs because of licensing agreements. If you go on vacation or must travel for work, you can use a VPN to access your home DAZN region.

The important thing to remember is that very few VPNs work to access your DAZN account while on vacation. Unfortunately, IPVanish is not working to watch DAZN securely. This means that you will probably need to cancel your subscription and opt for a different VPN provider.

In this guide, we’ve highlighted which VPNs currently work with DAZN. To help you further, we’ve detailed which DAZN regions each VPN should work with. We will also provide a list of VPNs that do not work with DAZN.

Unfortunately, IPVanish did not work to stream eight popular DAZN regions securely. This means you will need to switch to a different VPN provider. For those who want to, we will provide some ways to test IPVanish with DAZN yourself.

Why isn’t IPVanish working with DAZN?

DAZN is region locked for licensing reasons. This prevents subscribers from watching sporting events in countries where they have not been licensed. This can be frustrating if you are on vacation and can’t access your home DAZN account. Luckily, you can get around this problem by connecting to a VPN server back home.

The only caveat is that very few VPNs work to watch DAZN. This means you must pick your VPN for DAZN extremely carefully if you want to watch your account on holiday – or on any local network where DAZN has been blocked (such as at work).

DAZN proxy block

DAZN knows that people around the world try to bypass region locks using VPNs. For this reason, DAZN tries to spot and block as many VPNs as possible. As a result, most VPNs will cause you to receive the following error message:

“DAZN not available in this country”

Unfortunately, IPVanish’s network of servers that have already been identified by DAZN. This means you cannot use those servers to securely watch your account on a restricted network (such as at work) – or to access your account while overseas.

DAZN has already blacklisted IPs associated with IPVanish servers. For this reason, you will need to switch to an alternative VPN service to watch DAZN privately.

If you are currently subscribed to IPVanish – or any other VPN that we have not recommended for DAZN – it is likely you are having problems watching DAZN because:

  • The VPN server IP address has been blacklisted by DAZN.
  • Your real IP address is leaking and the VPN is failing to conceal your location.

Which VPNs don’t work with DAZN?

Unfortunately, most VPNs do not work with DAZN. None of the VPNs listed below work to stream DAZN privately on any restricted wifi network or while on vacation.

  • CyberGhost
  • Hotspot Shield
  • IPVanish
  • AtlasVPN
  • Private Internet Access
  • VyprVPN
  • Tunnelbear
  • PureVPN
  • VPNArea

Bear in mind that the list above is not comprehensive. There are many competing VPNs on the market and it is unlikely they work with DAZN unless we have recommended them in our best VPNs for DAZN list.

How to use a VPN to watch DAZN abroad?

Using a VPN to watch DAZN on vacation is easy as long as you stick to a recommended service. Just follow the steps below to watch DAZN from anywhere:

  1. Choose a VPN that works to securely watch DAZN abroad. We recommend NordVPN because it works to access at least 8 different DAZN regions. Alternatively, you can try Surfshark, which is cheap, or ExpressVPN, which works but is a little bit pricey.
  2. Follow one of our links to your preferred VPN for DAZN. Using our link will get you the VPN with a discount.
  3. Subscribe to the VPN and download the VPN app for your device. Our recommendations have apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android to let you stream DAZN on any device.
  4. Install the VPN app onto your device and log in.
  5. Connect to a VPN server in the US (or in your home country) and launch the DAZN website or app.

As soon as your VPN connects to the location you selected in the app, you will get a valid IP address that works to watch DAZN. Remember that in our experience, IPVanish does not work to watch DAZN. However, you can test it yourself with another DAZN region if your account is registered elsewhere.

What are the most common VPN problems with DAZN?

Our tests reveal that IPVanish has already been identified and restricted by DAZN. Thus, you should cancel your IPVanish subscription and opt for an alternative VPN instead.

Below, we have included some of the common problems you may experience with IPVanish or other VPNs known not to work with DAZN:

  1. Your VPN has already been blocked by DAZN.
  2. You are experiencing a VPN or proxy error message while connected to the VPN.
  3. You are experiencing a location error message while connected to the VPN.
  4. You are failing to log in or are getting an incorrect password message on DAZN when connected to your VPN.
  5. Certain shows or broadcasts are unavailable on DAZN when you use a VPN.
  6. Your VPN is not securely accessing the DAZN region you asked for.
  7. The VPN is causing poor video playback and a lot of buffering.

How to fix IPVanish with DAZN

We tested IPVanish thoroughly to watch DAZN using servers in the USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Unfortunately, the VPN does not work in any of those regions.

According to our rsearch, DAZN has already successfully blacklisted IPVanish servers. However, we admit that due to time constraints we only checked eight different DAZN regions.

As you are probably aware, DAZN is currently available in over 200 regions. The good news is that IPVanish has servers in over 50 countries. So, if you want to, you can try your home region to be sure that it doesn’t work. It is theoretically possible an IPVanish server somewhere in the world works to watch DAZN.

Just bear in mind that our official advice is that IPVanish does not work with DAZN – so you will probably need to get an alternative VPN subscription instead.

Which VPNs still work with DAZN?

We have included a list of VPNs that work to stream DAZN securely below. If you are currently subscribed to a VPN that is not on our list, you will probably need to cancel your account and switch to one of these recommendations instead.

What DAZN regions will my VPN work with?

As long as you stick to a recommended VPN for DAZN you should be able to watch your account while abroad. Just remember that your VPN may only work to access specific DAZN regions. You can use the list below to see which DAZN regions each VPN works with.

Unfortunately, IPVanish does not work with any of these popular DAZN regions, which is why it does not appear in our list.

  1. NordVPN: USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Austria
  2. Surfshark: Canada, Spain, Japan, Germany
  3. ExpressVPN: USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, Germany
  4. PrivateVPN: Canada

Can I use a free VPN to watch DAZN?

No. While it is true that there are some free VPNs on the market, these are not suitable for watching DAZN. Free VPNs have very few servers that are easy for DAZN to identify. As a result, we have yet to find any free VPNs that work to stream DAZN.

In addition, free VPNs are very sluggish, which means that they will cause too much buffering when trying to stream live TV or HD video. This rules out using free VPNs for data-intensive tasks such as HD streaming, torrenting, gaming, and videoconferencing.

Besides these performance issues, we strongly caution against using free VPNs for privacy and security reasons. Free VPNs have been found to suffer from server and app vulnerabilities, IP and DNS leaks, and even apps that contain spyware. This makes using free VPNs a risk to your online privacy and the security of your devices.

Does IPVanish work to access other services?

Yes. Although IPVanish did not work to stream DAZN in our tests, it will work to unblock many other services. IPVanish has servers in over 50 countries, and it should work to watch any of the following streaming platforms on vacation:

Despite being able to access the services mentioned above, we would like to point out that IPVanish is not considered the best VPN for streaming.

There are many VPNs that can access more regional Netflix catalogs than IPVanish, and IPVanish is not our favorite VPN for accessing any of the services listed above. For this reason, we recommend that you check the individual lists to see which VPNs are currently the best for streaming each platform.
