Howard Park, Scotsdale, Shiraz, Frankland River, 2021
Medium garnet colour. Class is evident from the first notes with rich purple and blue plums, blackberry and blueberry, ferrous blood, crunchy gravel driveway, warming coffee machine, pink grapefruit, pink peppercorn and ‘Werther’s Original’ butter caramels. Generous flowing and silky fruit, straightened with fine and tight tannins. Plenty of bright and refreshing acidity, almost near crunchy. Delicious umami and spice echoes through a long finish. Fantastic value.
