How to Play Kai’Sa in Wild Rift
Kai’Sa Wild Rift Abilities
Here’s a basic breakdown of all of Kai’Sa’s abilities in Wild Rift. Before we get into it, we want to clarify that all the descriptions of her abilities and the videos were sourced from the Official Kai’Sa Wild Rift page.
Passive: Second Skin. Kai’Sa’s basic attacks stack Plasma, dealing increasing bonus magic damage. Allies’ immobilising effects help stack Plasma. Additionally, Kai’Sa’s item purchases upgrade her basic spells to have more powerful properties.
Ability 1: Icathian Rain. Kai’Sa shoots a swarm of missiles that seek out nearby targets. Living Weapon: Icathian Rain is upgraded to shoot more missiles.
Ability 2: Void Seeker. Kai’Sa shoots a long range missile, revealing and marking enemies with her passive. Living Weapon: Void Seeker is upgraded to apply more Plasma marks and reduce cooldown on champion hit.
Ability 3: Supercharge. Kai’Sa briefly increases her movement speed, then increases her attack speed. Living Weapon: Supercharge is upgraded to briefly grant Invisibility.
Ultimate Ability: Killer Instinct. Kai’Sa dashes near an enemy champion marked by Plasma and gains a temporary shield.
Kai’Sa Wild Rift Runes
Before the game even starts, it is very important to choose the right runes, so the champion can accelerate as much as possible and unleash her full potential.
Kai’Sa Skill Order
Here’s the skill order for Kai’Sa. Note that this will be her ADC skill order, and may change if she gets played in the mid lane instead.
Kai’Sa Wild Rift Build
This is one of the best builds for Kai’Sa in Wild Rift. You should stay updated with what the high-ranking players build in Wild Rift to increase your chances of winning, as this guide, including the Runes, may change from patch to patch.
Kai’Sa Wild Rift Counters
If you’re looking for tips and tricks on how to counter Kai’Sa in Wild Rift, this section will break down good counters to help you beat her.
Draven
Draven’s strong early game is a huge bonus to playing against Kai’Sa due to her weak early game. Draven may also stomp her in the lane after getting an early kill, resulting in her falling further behind.
Miss Fortune
Miss Fortune’s natural damage advantage is a good benefit to picking her into a Kai’Sa. As long as Miss Fortune watches her positioning and fights around minions, there is no real chance for Kai’Sa to win against her. Post 6, activating your Ultimate ability will shred the Kai’Sa.
Ashe
Ashe is a dominant lane opponent for most champions thanks to her poke in the lane, damage output and her Ultimate skill. Kai’Sa’s weak early game can be abused by Ashe, which will reduce her chances of carrying later on. Furthermore, Kai’Sa doesn’t have any CC, while Ashe does.
Best Matchups for Kai’Sa in Wild Rift
So you’ve learned who’s good against Kai’Sa. Now it’s time to discuss who Kai’Sa is really good against.
Xayah
Kai’Sa is a good pick into Xayah as Kai’Sa’s overall damage output can be higher, which helps her get kills and a lead over the Xayah. Furthermore, Kai’Sa has an escape tool that can also be used to engage, while Xayah only has her Ultimate spell to protect her from all-ins.
Ezreal
Ezreal isn’t that good versus Kai’Sa, so you can abuse him to gain a considerable lead. Kai’Sa is known for aggression and all-ins, but Ezreal is quite the opposite. Most of the time, Ezreal will want to poke and harass with his Q until the enemy is low before looking to all-in. Kai’Sa can easily counter this.
Caitlyn
Kai’Sa is also an excellent pick into Caitlyn due to her damage output and how she plays the lane. First, Kai’Sa can quickly chase her down the lane and catch her out of position with her Ultimate. Caitlyn lacks a real escape, which she can quickly capitalise on.
