Harmony Health Group (HHG) has expanded its portfolio by acquiring three Serenity at Summit facilities in New Jersey and Massachusetts, US.

The move is the result of HHG’s collaboration with Thrive Healthcare and Brightwood Capital Advisors.

This acquisition replaces the previous operator, Delphi, strengthening HHG’s commitment to evidence-based behavioural health.

The acquired facilities will be incorporated into HHG’s Eastern US network of inpatient and outpatient centres.

This expansion comes as a response to the increased rates of mental health conditions and substance use disorders caused by the pandemic and economic challenges.

There is a recognised shortage of mental health professionals and limited access to therapy, particularly in states like New Jersey, HHG stated.

HHG aims to address these challenges by offering a wider range of services focused on mental health conditions and treatment.

The expansion is said to align with the industry’s collective efforts to provide evidence-based services and address the impending mental health crisis.

Thrive Healthcare and Harmony Health Group will continue to improve access to mental health care through strategic acquisitions and evidence-based practices, aiming to tackle the national mental health crisis.
