Football Odds

Bristol Rovers vs Wigan Athletic (15:00) @ 4/5

It’s ninth versus 20th in League 1 at the Memorial Stadium, as Bristol Rovers play host to Wigan Athletic.

The hosts have collected seven points from their first five games and have scored in all three of their competitive matches on home soil.

Wigan make the journey to the West Country having lost five of their six matches in all competitions this season.

Shaun Maloney’s men have scored in their last three games though, including a Thelo Aasgaard strike in their latest 2-1 defeat at title favourites Birmingham, and they can ensure both teams get on the scoresheet.

Grimsby v Barrow (15:00) @ 4/5

After five games in League 2, Barrow find themselves in third having collected 10 points, with three wins, a draw, and a defeat.

Stephen Clemence’s men have found the net seven times in five League 2 games going into the clash at Blundell Park.

Meanwhile, Grimsby are currently in the bottom half of the table but have scored the same number of league goals as their opponents.

Both teams found the net in both league games last season, with Barrow winning 3-1 at home and Grimsby 2-1 victors in this corresponding fixture.

Port Vale vs Chesterfield (15:00) @ 4/6

Only three teams have scored more goals in League 2 than Chesterfield, with Paul Cook’s men finding the back of the net nine times in five matches.

Six of the Spireites’ goals have come on the road, including five in one game at Crewe.

Port Vale go into this contest off the back of a thumping 4-1 win at Newport, a result that moves them just a point behind their opponents.

Vale have scored on eight occasions in League 2 this season and they were involved in a five-goal thriller against Doncaster in their last home game, so expect attacks to come to the fore.

Walsall v Bradford (15:00) @ 4/6

Two teams in the top-six of League 2 meet on Saturday, with Walsall looking to leapfrog Bradford with a win at the Bescot Stadium.

The Midlands outfit have won both of their home league games this season while also beating League 1 Huddersfield 3-2 in the EFL Cup.

Bradford have also been amongst the goals this season, with three or more goals netted in their last four fixtures in all competitions.

The Bantams frontman Andy Cook has already bagged three times in five league games, averaging a goal every 140 minutes.

There were also plenty of goals when these two teams met in League 2 last season, with Bradford winning 3-2 at the Bescot Stadium after Walsall had toppled them 3-1 at Valley Parade earlier in the season.
