Giants vs Bills Prediction: Bills to bounce back in style

  • By Admin

The New York Giants head to upstate New York as they take on the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in ‘Sunday Night Football’ (01:20 Monday UK time).

Buffalo will be eager to bounce back from last week’s defeat in London to Jacksonville, while the Giants have lost their last three matches.

Giants vs Bills Prediction

  • Buffalo Bills (-14.5) @ 20/21
  • Over 44.5 points @ 10/11

Team News

Dane Jackson did not participate in Thursday’s practice, so doubts remain whether he’ll feature for Buffalo on Sunday.

Dalton Kincaid had limited participation in Thursday’s session as he continues to recover from a concussion, while Dawson Knox and Greg Rousseau are looking to shake off their respective wrist and foot injuries in time for this weekend’s game.

As for the Giants, quarterback Daniel Jones will not practice again on Thursday, casting doubt on whether or not he’ll be able to play against the Bills, although head coach Brian Daboll is not ruling him out completely.

Saquon Barkley could be the other big-name absentee, as he continues to have limited participation in practice due to the ankle injury he sustained in Week 2.

Buffalo Bills (-14.5) @ 20/21

I understand that this is one of the largest spreads of the season so far, but I think Buffalo can cover it, just as they did when they thumped the Dolphins a fortnight ago.

As my colleague Alan put it in our Week 6 predictions, I think the loss to Jacksonville last week was nothing more than a blip for Bills and we’ve seen that those London matches can have a strange effect on teams.

The Giants have lost their last three, most recently being outclassed by Miami in South Beach, and I think their chances of upsetting the apple cart this weekend hinders on the health of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley.

Regardless, it’s hard to see Big Blue stopping the Bills here, who will want to avenge their defeat in London.

Over 44.5 points @ 10/11

I’m expecting a much better offensive showing from the Bills here, and given the injuries that New York will potentially have to deal with, I can see Buffalo racking up the points.

Are the Giants able to slow down Buffalo’s offensive weapons? The stats suggest probably not – Josh Allen is currently sixth in the NFL for passing yards (1,407) and joint-third for touchdown passes (11), while Stefon Diggs is sixth in the league in receiving yards, averaging 104 yards per game with five touchdowns.

In addition, the Giants defense is ranked 29th for points allowed at 30.6, so it’s hard to see where the G-Men will find joy on the defensive side of the football.
