Top of the group, four unbeaten, 12 points from 12, things don’t get much better for Scotland when it comes to qualifying for a major tournament.
However, the scars of past campaigns are still fresh enough for the Tartan Army to not be getting too carried away but a win in Larnaca tonight and they can start blowing the dust off their German phrasebook.
Two late goals by Scott McTominay back in March added some shine to comfortable 3-0 win over Cyprus when the sides met earlier in the group.
Confidence must be coursing through this Scotland squad at the moment and at 3/10 to win this evening expectations are high.
The Scots have conceded just one goal in Group A so far, to a penalty from goal machine Erling Haaland, so there could be some value in a win to nil for Steve Clarke’s men at 5/6. Alternatively a Scottish win and Under 2.5 Goals might appeal at 21/10.
Clarke and his squad will take any kind of win which would put them in great position ahead of a huge showdown with Spain in Seville in October.
In the same group Spain face a tricky trip to Tblisi where Georgia will be eyeing a big scalp. They held Norway to a 1-1 draw and are a country on the up after a strong showing in their Nations League campaign which saw them gain promotion to League B and potential route to Euro 2024 via the Play-Offs.
Spain are 1/3 and should have the quality to get a much-needed win but they’ll need to be on their A-game and it could take them a while to make the breakthrough with no goal before 27:00 fancied at 5/6.
We had some success with a straightforward Treble last night and wins for Spain, Portugal and Turkey tonight pays 17/10.
