Race 4 Carnarvon 8.56 Set The Scene (best price 10/11)
Likeable type who had caught the eye a few times in defeat before opening his account impressively by 5 and a half lengths over shorter here last month; more to come now the penny has dropped so hard to oppose.
This looks a great chance for the improving SET THE SCENE to follow up. He deserved that victory last time and it was an impressive one to go 5 and a half lengths clear at the line. Back up in trip slightly he has plenty going for him and should salute the judge once more. Nero Chin Chin is second fav but is exposed and that probably tells you about the lack of quality in the opposition. He was second last time so may well fill that position again. Mirror Moon likely best of the rest in a race definitely lacking strength in depth.

Race 5 Gatton 5.17 Jamaican Rumba (best price 1/1)
Progressive form in recent starts winning his last 3 on the polytrack at Gold Coast; asserted in good style again last time and with scope for further improvement should be able to extend the winning sequence here.
With a good draw it is hard to look past JAMAICAN RUMBA as he bids to bring up the four-timer. He is getting better and better judging by that last win and he should have too many gears for this lot. Resilient Star was a good third at Hawkesbury when last seen and he has won fresh so he deserves plenty of respect. Allez Zou is expected to leave that reappearance run behind but he certainly will need to. If he does step forward he might be a bit of value to rattle the frame. The rest seem to be up against it in this.
