France vs Jamaica Preview
With ten wins out of ten in their qualifying campaign, the French are in a good place and are in a small group of teams with a realistic chance of challenging the current world champions, the USA. They start the competition as sixth favorites to win it but based on their outstanding qualifying, will be looking at getting at least to the semifinals.
This is their fifth World Cup, with their best performance so far coming at the 2011 tournament when they made it to the semi-finals, before coming up against the USA who beat them 3-1. In 2015 and 2019, they made it to the quarterfinals.

French in Fine Form
France have been in good form beyond just their qualifying campaign, and have lost just once in their last eight, although it’s worth noting that one defeat came in their final warm-up game against Australia, when they were beaten 1-0 in Melbourne.
They have won their last three World Cup openers, and it will take a massive upset here from the Jamaicans to stop that becoming four in their last four.
Second-Time Lucky for Jamaica
For the Jamaicans, this is just their second World Cup appearance – their first coming last time out, in 2019, when they failed to register a point after being drawn in a very tricky group. This time around they will be looking to get goals and points on the board after having benefited from the experience of 2019.
Four years ago, they got off to the worst possible start with a 3-0 defeat by Brazil – who they come up against in this group along with Panama – and never really recovered. Things went from bad to worse in game 2 when they lost 5-0 to Italy and while they lost their final game to Australia, they did register their first goal in a 3-1 defeat.

First Win in 2023 Against Morocco
The Reggae Girlz qualified for this tournament thanks to a third-place finish in the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship, where they recorded impressive wins over Haiti and Mexico before beating Costa Rica in the third/fourth place playoff.
Unfortunately for the Reggae Girlz, their form in 2023 has been disappointing but they did manage to pick up their first win of the year with a 1-0 win over Morocco in their final warm-up match.

France vs Jamaica Prediction
The French are huge favorites to win this game and with good reason given their recent form. While Jamaica will believe they can improve on their 2019 showing, they look ill-equipped to go toe-to-toe with the French.
The value here is in predicting the number of goals in the game and the size of the French win.
France vs Jamaica Picks: France to win 3-0 (+400) / Under 3.5 goals (+155)
