It has been a time of upheaval for Lillestrom SK following the shock departure their manager to bitter rivals Valerenga but Sunday offers a good opportunity to climb the Eliteserien standings against Sandefjord.

Few saw manager Geir Bakke making the move from Lillestrom to Valerenga but his departure could well galvanise a side that have been inconsistent since their Norwegian Cup final defeat to Brann back in May.

Sandefjord on the other hand have had very little to cheer about of late and have been shipping goals at an alarming rate in recent months.

It might well be another long evening for Sandefjord at Arasen Stadion, which has certainly not been a happy hunting ground for them over the years.

Lillestrom to win and over 3.5 total goals looks to be the way to go in this one. The Kanarifugla have won all of their last seven home meetings with Sandefjord, who have only earned one win at Arasen Stadion back in May 2006.

Sandefjord have scored just one goal in their last four visits to Lillestrom, while last season they suffered a 4-1 defeat at home and 3-0 loss on the road to LSK.

A leaky defence is clearly the issue for Sandefjord, who have won just two of their last 27 games in Eliteserien.

Conceding 15 goals in their last five games, it’s hard to see this Sandefjord defence stopping Lillestrom from bagging a few goals this weekend.

Lillestrom do have their issues at the back also, which should make for an exciting game with plenty of goals in the offing.

The hosts should have enough quality to come out on top in this encounter and over 3.5 total goals in the contest is certainly achievable, considering Adams’ form and Sandefjord far from watertight defence.
