Football Bet of the Day: Celta Vigo to edge battle of strugglers

Celta Vigo and Cadiz have both struggled in La Liga this season and the pair face each other on Monday in what could be a crucial clash in the battle against the drop.

The pair have only won three of their combined 28 matches in the league and will be hoping to pick up a vital three points at the wrong end of the table.

No team in the top flight has scored fewer goals than their 11 and their attacking difficulties could be the difference between them staying up or not this term.

Cadiz have lost four of their last six La Liga games without scoring and a repeat of that looks likely in this matchup.

Celta Vigo have improved in recent weeks and home advantage could be crucial in this one.

The home team won each of this pair’s meetings last season, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Rafael Benitez’s Celta Vigo side have shown enough recently to indicate that they can come out on top of this clash.

However with both teams struggling going forward, it would be foolish to expect a high-scoring affair.

Cadiz’s struggles in front of goal look likely to continue, and Celta are fancied to pick up just their second win of the season in this one.

The Sky Blues can also keep a clean sheet and record a win to nil over their relegation rivals.
