Belgium Under-21s take on their Portuguese counterparts in their final group clash in the Euros with both sides still in with a chance of making the quarter-finals.

Group A is finely poised with all four teams in contention to progress and the Belgians know they will make it if they can see off Portugal in Tbilisi.

The table currently shows co-hosts Georgia top after a win and a draw from their two games, while the Belgians and the Netherlands are level on two points so far after both teams drew their first two outings.

Portugal sit bottom with just a point on the board and are staring at an early exit from the tournament.

It’s now crunch time and a win on Tuesday will secure Belgium’s spot in the last eight, at the expense of Portugal, who know they need to win while also hoping the Dutch do not beat Georgia if they are to stand any chance of finishing in the top two.

Portugal suffered a damaging 2-0 opening defeat to Georgia and after drawing against the Dutch, are now very much up against it as they attempt to rescue their campaign with a win.

However, sadly for them, they are coming up against what looks like a talented Belgian outfit on Tuesday.

Football Betting Odds

Like several of the nations competing in the Under-21 Euros, Belgium’s squad is largely made up of promising youngsters who ply their trade at home but they do have a few stand-out names.

Included amongst them are attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere, who plays for AC Milan and already has 12 senior caps under his belt, while Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin and Lens forward Lois Openda are others who should show their class at this level.

Openda is an attractively-priced 8/5 to score anytime for Belgium and the 23-year-old certainly knows where the back of the net is.

He banged in 21 goals in Ligue 1 for Lens last season to help them finish second and he’s another with senior international experience as he was named in Belgium’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

Openda has nine full caps to his name and is a proven goalscorer at Under-21 level, with 13 goals in 17 appearances.

Belgium’s youngsters are unbeaten in their last six outings, although four of those matches have ended in draws, while Portugal Under-21s have had a mixed time of it of late, with three wins, two defeats and a draw in their last six overall.

In the Euros so far, Belgium held the Dutch to a goalless draw in their opener before racing into a 2-0 lead next against Georgia, only to see the co-hosts storm back in the second half to claim a point.

With everything on the line, this is likely to be a close final group game,  but Belgium are in slightly better shape and look the value option at 2/1 to win.
