First Hong Kong Poker Tour festival in Vietnam underway at Dream Poker – September 19 to 28 in Hoi An

The Hong Kong Poker Tour (HKPT) has ventured beyond its roots to the land of Vietnam for its first full blown poker festival in the Southeast Asian nation. Curiosity has been high as players from various countries have descended to venue Dream Poker in Hoi An for the experience. There to greet them was none other than HKPT creator, Ricky Cheung.

With games swinging since September 19, numerous trophies have already been claimed. Among the minted was Hong Kong’s Vincent Cheng who impressively captured two titles. Cheng opened the series with a victory at the Hong Kong “Bauhinia” Open then three days later he won the Dazzling Mystery Bounty Turbo.

Other winners were Corine Shi,  Peter N, Ng Tsun Yin, Pancharoen Nattawoot, and Trakulchang Kamolkris. Check out the results via the link provided below.

Hong Kong Poker Tour – FESTIVAL RESULTS

Enhancing the HKPT experience, players were invited to a Whiskey Tasting Event held on September 22 and 23. Attendees had the unique opportunity to savor the secret HKPT recipe. Additionally, players are free to use the service buggy all over the gorgeous grounds of Hoiana Resort at any time of day and night.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the festival is the arrival of elite American player, Daniel “Jungelman” Cates. Good news, the pro has arrived and will be playing the Main Event! Make your way to the felt to catch him in action.

Main Event underway

Cards started flying for the headliner Main Event on September 22 and will run until the festival’s last day, September 28. A total of six entry flights are available with the first three already bagged and tagged. We will have those results once it has been made available.

For those yet to make their way, the Main Event has two flights remaining at a buy in of ₫23,700,000 (~US$ 1,000) and one flight at buy in of ₫7,000,000 (~US$ 333).
