The football season is in its final throes but we still have some huge European games to see us off . We’ve previewed the Europa Conference League tie between Fiorentina and West Ham United and have given you our best bets for the occasion.
Fiorentina vs West Ham Tips
Wednesday 7 Jun, 2023

Fortuna Arena, Prague
Both sides go into this huge European final, desperately aiming to end a silverware drought.
Fiorentina (7/4) haven’t brought a trophy back to Florence for 22 years and for West Ham, (13/8) it’s been almost double that wait at 43 years – their last trophy being the 1980 FA Cup.
As you can see from the Betfred odds, this looks like a really even affair, with the draw available at just 11/5.
La Viola have been sensational in their tournament and are comfortably the leading scorers in the competition, with 36 goals in 14 games.
Vincenzo Italiano’s men will make history on Wednesday night, becoming the first team to star in the final of all four major European trophies.
They will have to get past a Hammers side, that have somehow managed to compartmentalise their poor domestic form and have remained unbeaten during them Europa Conference.
This is an intriguing match up that should really be played in a much bigger stadium than the 19,000 capacity Fortuna Arena, with thousands of Fiorentina and West Ham fans unable to watch the action.
Team news:
Italiano is only without second goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu for this one and should be able to select his strongest XI, having rested many players at the weekend.
Similarly, David Moyes only has one absentee in striker Gianluca Scamacca, leaving Michail Antonio up front on his own.
Fiorentina to lift the trophy – 10/11
I think this will be an extremely tight game and whilst I think there will be goals, I can’t see either side running away with it.
Just as in the Europa League match and a lot of the EFL playoff games, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one settled in extra time or penalties.
La Viola finished Serie A in 6th place and ended the season unbeaten in the last four, so have really good momentum coming into this final.
Meanwhile the Hammers scraped to 14th in the league, after a dismal Premier League campaign and lost five of their last seven league games.
I’m taking Fiorentina to win this one, probably late or on penalties.
Arthur Cabral to score first – 11/2
The Brazilian front man moved to Florence last season and took a while to get going, following his move from Basel.
The 25-year-old scored regularly in Switzerland and has started to fire in Italy this season, scoring 17 in total including 8 in this competition.
Betfred are running their famed Double Delight/ Hat-trick Heaven Promotion on this match, meaning should the striker score first and then go on to score a second, you will be paid at double the odds (11/1). Should he score a 3rd, you would be paid at triple the odds (33/2).
