- Tampa Bay (4-3) is a 2.5-point home underdog against Atlanta (4-3) in Week 8
- Kirk Cousins put up 509 passing yards and four touchdowns against the Buccaneers in early October
- Sunday’s NFC South battle kicks off from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL at 1:00 pm ET
Tampa Bay looked like a genuine contender after taking a 10-0 lead on the Ravens on Monday night. However, after allowing 34 consecutive points in a 41-31 defeat and losing their two top receivers to injury, the Buccaneers are limping into their divisional matchup with Atlanta.

Evans and Godwin out
Shortly after bolstering his Hall of Fame resume with his 100th career touchdown catch, Mike Evans pulled is hamstring in the endzone before dropping another would-be score. Evans’ injury marked the beginning of the end for Baker Mayfield, who threw two interceptions in the Buccaneers next two possessions.
Making matters worse, Chris Godwin suffered a season-ending ankle injury in garbage time, leaving Tampa Bay without two of the NFL’s best receivers. Needless to say, life is about to get tougher for Mayfield, who leads the league with 18 passing TDs.

Falcons flail
Atlanta’s three-game winning streak came to a crashing halt on Sunday in a 34-14 loss to Seattle. Kirk Cousins tossed two interceptions and fumbled in what was his worst performance since his Falcons debut. Raheem Morris’ defense also allowed six plays of more than 20 yards in Week 7, and the team has a league-worst six sacks this season.
Tampa Bay vs Atlanta
Atlanta is a 2.5-point road favorite on Sunday. The line flipped from TB -2.5 following the injuries to Godwin and Evans on Monday night. Oddsmakers have the over/under set at 46 points.
Don’t forget these two clubs put 66 points on the scoreboard in Atlanta in a wild Thursday nighter in early October. Cousins passed for more than 500 yards and he and Baker combined for seven total TDs.
Falcons came away with the W, but these two put on a clinic tonight 🔥🔥 #TBvsATL

Offensive X-Factors
After a slow start to the year, sophomore back Bijan Robinson has 248 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns over the past three weeks. Drake London is also up to five receiving TDs this year after scoring in three-straight contests. He has an easy matchup against a Tampa Bay defense allowing the fourth-most passing yards (254.0) per game in the NFL.
With their receiving corps decimated by injury, the Buccaneers will need their three-headed monster of Rachaad White, Sean Tucker and Bucky Irving to find holes against an Atlanta D permitting the ninth-most rushing yards (137.0) to opponents per contest.
Best Bet
Don’t overthink this one. The Buccaneers are on a short week without their two best offensive players. Take Atlanta (-3) with the OVER 46 points.
