Everton are slight underdogs at home at 13/8, with Bournemouth on offer at 6/4 and the draw priced at 9/4.
Over 2.5 goals in the game is priced at 4/5 with under 2.5 at 10/11 and it’s 8/13 that both teams score in the match with 6/5 available for at least one team to fail to find the net.
Match Result – Draw @ 9/4
Everton have won five of their last six home league games and would love to add another victory in front of their own fans to get their Premier League campaign up and running.
However, at the available prices, the draw looks the best value of the three main match odds options.
Everton have a worrying goal difference of minus seven after just two top-flight games, losing 3-0 at home to Brighton in their opener before being outclassed on the road at Tottenham in a 4-0 defeat.
Sean Dyche’s side finally got a goal and a win against League 2 Doncaster in a welcome 3-0 Carabao Cup success on Tuesday and they would love a repeat of last year’s result in this fixture as they won 3-0 last October.
The Cherries have been frustrated by some VAR decisions already this season but have taken a couple of solid points from 1-1 draws at Nottingham Forest and home to a strong Newcastle team, while they gave another solid showing in their 1-0 midweek Carabao Cup loss at West Ham.
While Everton have home advantage, Bournemouth have clearly made the stronger start this season and this should be a tight contest that could well end in a third league draw for the visitors.
Anytime Scorer – Antoine Semenyo @ 9/4
A score draw looks much more likely than a goalless game given Everton’s defensive struggles and Bournemouth have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three Premier League away games.
The Cherries have not been prolific yet but they should have more joy against the generous Everton defence who conceded twice in the first 25 minutes at Tottenham last week.
Antoine Semenyo is a prime candidate to strike for the visitors having scored on the opening day with Bournemouth’s equaliser at the City Ground.
The Ghanaian forward had five goal attempts against Forest and seven more in the Newcastle match and looks a decent bet in the anytime goalscorer market.
