eBay’s National Watch Day highlights timeless, historical watches
In celebration of June 19th being designated as National Watch Day in America, eBay recognizes some of its long-standing sellers that host a collection of some of the most unique and historical watches.
The Registrar at National Day Calendar declared June 19th to be “National Watch Day,” which has been celebrated annually since 2017. It was Nordstrom, the popular retailer, that founded National Watch Day to celebrate the history and design of watchmaking. The day recognizes an industry that has been around for more than 500 years and is steadily evolving.
In celebration of National Watch Day, eBay recognizes some of its long-standing sellers that host a collection of some of the most unique and historical watches. Amongst them, long-standing eBay storefront, Connoisseur of Time, sells some of the rarest watches on the market with everything from a 1921 Art Deco Audemars Piguet to a 1963 Omega Seamaster “Kleeback” to a 1970 Rolex Oysterdate with a hand painted Mickey Mouse.

Made for the very prestigious jeweler Betteridge, this very rare 1921 Art Deco Watch from Audemars Piguet bears the retailer’s name on the dial.
This 1912 Pre-World War I Era Rolex Trench Watch is one of the earliest known outwardly signed Rolex watches.
