YAY! I am so excited because one of my favorite ways to earn money is back today! The National Consumer Panel has created an app that helps you save while you spend. The reason I love it so much is because you earn money by doing what you are doing already-shopping! Here is how…

How do I participate?

Participating has never been easier. Nowadays, they don’t send you a scanner, you just download the app and use your device! Scan in your purchases and submit them back to the National Consumer Panel. Watch as you earn points that can be redeemed for sought-after gift cards!

Does everyone get accepted?

Unfortunately not, they are usually looking for a target demographic household. So, if you household matches the description after you enter your data, then you will be ready to go! If it doesn’t, check back at a later time to have another shot of getting on panel. Most households are selected within a month.  

What should I scan?

Pretty much anything you buy! Make sure that all purchases are going to your household, not part of a business expense. Scan all food and nonfood items. In-store and online purchases count. 

Why do they pay me?

All they want from you is consumer information! You will be giving them your purchasing information which manufacturers and retailers pay them for. Those purchases help them make decisions about the brands they sell!

What gift cards can I get?

There are tons of rewards to be had! Not only do they offer gift cards, they also offer reward points towards merchandise in their exclusive gift catalog and automatic entries into most of their sweepstakes for cash prizes and pre-paid gift cards. Here are the current gift cards available…

1. Sign Up with NCP Mobile

Enter the required information and see if you are in the demographic desired. If you are accepted, you will be gain access to the NCPMobile App.

2. Get Scanning

Scan your products during your shopping trip, or once you are all finished! Make sure to include anything else people in your household, bought. You also will record additional information, like where you shop, what you paid on your trip, how many items you bought, and more.

3. Send NCP your Information

Once a week, you’ll transmit all of the shopping data you recorded to NCP. You will also be invited to take surveys on a variety of topics and play games for additional points.

4. Earn Rewards

After you have submitted your shopping info, you will get points that can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, including redeemable gift points, merchandise, and more! 

They may not have a spot available in your zip code now, but one could open up at anytime- check to see if you can get on their waiting list. This is a hugely popular panel to join so don’t get discouraged, it’s worth it!
