The Dolphins are on a three-game losing streak and things won’t get any easier when they host the New Zealand Warriors at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday morning (05:00). The Redcliffe Peninsula side are having a wobble at the worst possible time; clinging on to eighth place and now level on points with Canberra Raiders and St George Illawarra Dragons, the pressure is mounting on Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins.

The Dolphins will be boosted by the return of Tevita Pangai jnr and playmaker Kodi Nikorima, who have recovered from a calf issue and illness respectively.

There were doubts regarding the fitness of winger Jamayne Isaako but he is good to start in the backline, despite rolling his ankle against the Sydney Roosters last time out.

As for the Warriors, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck continues to move around the backline and finds himself in the centres this week with Moala Graham-Taufa dropping out.

Ed Kosi comes back into the fold on the wing in the only other change from the side who lost to Parramatta Eels last time out.

Having won three of their four meetings against the Dolphins, the Warriors outfit look good value to come away from Brisbane with the victory on Sunday.

Granted the Auckland men go into this game following a 30-20 defeat to the Eels, in what was playmaker Shaun Johnson’s first game back from an Achilles injury.

The Warriors star half-back came through that game unscathed and he will be hoping to find his rhythm for this weekend’s game across The Tasman.

If Johnson hits his stride and provides opportunities for the likes of Tuivasa-Sheck and Kosi, then the Warriors can make it three wins on the spin against the Dolphins this weekend.

Defence has been a major issue for the Dolphins of late, with the Brisbane outfit having conceded at least 21 points in their last nine consecutive games.
