I have the full range of the Dinner Lady FUYL disposable vapes to review!
“FUYL” is pronounced “few-ul” apparently. Which is good because I am from Shropshire and that’s how I pronounce “Fuel” as well!
Dinner Lady are one of the biggest brand names when it comes to e-liquid. No wonder they want their own disposable vape range to show off their expertise!
The company were established in 2016 with a team of just 2 people. Now they employ more than 200!
Their e-liquid is UK made in their own Manufacturing sites which then supply over 100 countries! The FUYL devices are assembled in China.
Of course they are famous for their “Lemon Tart” flavour which has had the awards flooding in.
You will be pleased to know – this range includes it! (Our Neil C is a devoted fan of the Lemon Tart!)
There are 14 flavours in the range – and I have them all for you in this review!
What Can We Expect From The Dinner Lady FUYL Disposable Vape?
The FUYL range promise 600 puffs from 2ml of e-liquid. They are designed to comply with TPD regulations so they can be legally sold in the UK.
Of course the e-liquid inside is also produced by Dinner Lady so you can be assured of the quality.
Inside the device is a non rechargeable 500mAh battery and a 1.2ohm mesh coil is used to vaporise the e-liquid.
An LED indicator is provided which lights up when vaping and when the battery is out of charge.
These are only available in 20mg nicotine salt strengths for those who want to banish their ciggie cravings quickly.
For those outside of TPD regulated areas you can get 6000 and 8000 puff versions with 30mg and 50mg nicotine strengths.
There also appears to be a replaceable pod version on the way in the future!
Here is an introduction video from the Vape Dinner Lady YouTube Channel.
Thank you to Vape Club for sending these over for review!
As always taste perception will vary, so I will be reporting on performance and how well the flavours match the description.
Packaging & Build Quality
Packaging & Instructions
These are supplied in a cardboard box which has plenty of information on ingredients, strengths, warnings and contact details.
The base of the box displays the batch number and expiry date, always a good sign of a reputable company with traceability systems in place.
Inside the box are the instructions and the device is wrapped in a Plastic wrapper.
You simply remove the wrapper to reveal the device with protective covers on the mouthpiece and base.
The instructions have 3 pages per language and contain operation instructions, further warnings, ingredients and safety advice.
Device
I have to say this is a lot chunkier than I was expecting for a 2ml capacity 500mAh battery device. But it is very light in the hand.
It consists mainly of a clear plastic shell with a graphic layer inside. The mouthpiece is left as the clear plastic.
Through the shell there are what looks like Black plastic top and bottom caps and between these is a printed layer.
The front has the “F” logo and flavour printed on to the inner layer clearly.
The rear has all the required legal logos, “FUYL, powered by Dinner Lady” and the nicotine strength printed on. Also the warning triangle symbol is embossed on this side.
On the base you will find the LED indicator which lights up when you inhale and it will flash when the battery has no charge left. Next to that is a round piece of moulding, then on the far side is the airflow inlet.
The “Duck Bill” mouthpiece is only around 5mm thick by 15mm wide so it is very dinky and comfortable to use.

Cherry Cotton
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Cherry Cotton Disposable Vape has a juicy and tart taste of Cherries and blended with sweet Cotton Candy”
I Say…
Oh yes this is an excellent place to start!
What a gorgeous flavour!
The light fluffy soft sweetness you would get from Candy Floss (Cotton Candy) combined with a cloud of delicious Cherry.
This is absolute heaven for someone with a sweet tooth like me.
The two flavours just feel like they belong together and I wish there was an e-liquid version of this – I would buy it in a heartbeat (are you listening Dinner Lady!!).
Obviously this is going to be a very sweetie inspired vape, so those who want tang would not be happy with this one.
However I think it is absolute perfection and the slight addition of cooling makes this feel lighter and fluffier. There is a breeze flowing in your mouth and it is Cherry flavoured!
Strawberry Dragon Fruit
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Strawberry Dragon Fruit Disposable Vape has the taste of ripe Strawberries perfectly blended with the exotic taste of Dragon Fruit”
I Say…
I have no idea what Dragon Fruit tastes like I am afraid! Having searched Google, it apparently is like a sour Kiwi & Peach mixture? Also it appears to be a very divisive flavour with vocal lovers and haters!
Time to vape, this has the main flavour of Strawberry which starts off as delicious.
Then you kind of get a sour strange chemically flavour. It reminds me of a fruity Shampoo (when you accidentally get some in your mouth when showering) – that seems to be the Dragon Fruit?
I am not sure if this flavour will appeal – it certainly doesn’t to me sadly.
I would suggest ditching the Dragon Fruit as the Strawberry started out being so promising. Such a shame.
Not knowing what Dragon Fruit is supposed to taste like, makes this one hard to rate.
It is not disgusting, but it is unusual and seems a very odd combination. Not full marks for this one!
Kiwi Passion Guava
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Kiwi Passion Guava Disposable Vape is has a sweet and tangy aroma and has a delicious blend of juicy Kiwi, Passion Fruit and Guava”
I Say…
This is not a flavour combo which would attract my attention if I saw it on a display.
However it is a really delicious experience in the safe hands of the talented Dinner Lady mixologists!
It is sweet and fruity and the light cooling makes it feel summery and bright.
I have to be honest I cannot decipher between the flavours – but that is my fault as I have never eaten any of these fruits in real life.
But I do know when something is succulent and this flavour is exploding with life.
Past experience with Guava and Kiwi in vapes has not always been a pleasant one! This time the FUYL is a game changer for me!
There is a slight tang, but this is sweeter than just eating fresh fruit. But that is the essence of disposable vapes and comes with the territory.
I highly recommend this – the attention to detail with the mixing and cooling being so harmonious!
Definitely a 10/10 from me – I could vape this all day long!
Vanilla Tobacco
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Vanilla Tobacco Disposable Vape is a creamy Vanilla and Tobacco blend which is rich and lightly sweetened”
I Say…
Tobacco vape flavours were what originally put me off vaping in 2012 – you could only buy a chemically tasting tobacco flavour or an overpowering menthol – I disliked both! However things improved when I started vaping again in 2016 and there were many more flavours around!
Ever since I have not found many tobacco flavours I actually like.
This still has the slight “Ashtray” taste at the start of the inhale but the welcome addition of the Vanilla stops it from being unpleasant.
It even feels like it is drying out your mouth in the same way a cigarette would.
The blending actually leaves you with a lovely Caramel style aftertaste – so it has been really well done!
If you or someone you know wants to stop smoking and really wants a tobacco flavour I would 100% recommend this one. There are few that are this good!
Pink Lemonade
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Pink Lemonade Disposable Vape is a refreshing blend of zesty Lemon and sweet Raspberry with a combination of sour and sweet”
I Say…
This is a flavour which will always catch my eye. I enjoy a Pink Lemonade – apart from when the “Pink” element is Watermelon – which sometimes happens!
Thankfully the description says the Pinkness is from Raspberry – phew!
The Lemonade is strong with this one, with it overpowering the Raspberry on the inhale.
After about 5 vapes it tasted dry on the exhale. I am not sure if this is a faulty vape as the dryness was worrying me – I was expecting the dreaded dry hit at any moment?
I will not be rating this one as I think it is faulty – it is almost as though it is running out of e-liquid. It gave the same sensation as when I was emptying the Bubblegum Ice disposable. This feels like the last 10 puffs before it conked out?
Raspberry Cola
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Raspberry Cola Disposable Vape resembles sweet and tart Raspberry taste perfectly blended with the classic taste of Cola”
I Say…
I spent a long time drinking way too much Diet Coke and Pepsi Max – so I definitely appreciate a good Cola flavour!
Oh man this is an absolute beauty!
Sometimes Cola vapes can be a bit too synthetic – where they taste like really flat Cola from a can that has been open for over a month or the Jelly sweet version.
But the gang at Dinner Lady have perfected this flavour, even down to a slight fizzy tingle on your tongue!
Because there is the refreshing sweet Raspberry, this never dips into flat Cola territory, it is bright and vibrant and almost as refreshing as the real drink!
A tiny amount of cooling adds to the zing of this, it is a total masterpiece of blending.
I can score this no lower than 10/10! I would give it 15/10 if I could!
Blood Orange Pineapple
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Blood Orange Pineapple Disposable Vape resembles Pineapples perfectly paired with Blood Oranges creating a delicious fruit flavour”
I Say…
This is a very unusual flavour indeed!
The Orange is really like a piece of fruit just not quite as sour. But definitely a more realistic version than say a synthetic candy version.
Together with the Pineapple this creates a whole new flavour which is quite yummy!
The sourness of fresh Orange is curbed by the Pineapple kicking in. It is very subtle but the Pineapple is taking the sourness away without kicking the Orange completely off the stage.
You don’t get many Orange vapes and this works perfectly and even creates a new sensation that each fruit would not give on its own.
I would say this is more Orange than Pineapple, but the flavour would be very sour if the Pineapple was removed.
A clever bit of blending and choice of flavour profiles here. Also it is not as sweet and cold as you would usually find in a disposable, it is more fresh and realistic.
If you are a purist when it comes to fruity flavours, I think you will really enjoy this one.
Apple Peach
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Apple Peach Disposable Vape gives the flavour of juicy and sweet Peaches blended with the crisp and refreshing taste of fresh Apples”
I Say…
Wow guess what?
This is very Apple-y and Peachy!
Yummo – the flavour is strong and deep and there is only a small hint of cooling involved. Just enough to make it feel like a drink but it is not icy at all.
It starts off with a tangy note on the inhale but as you exhale it becomes more rounded and sweet.
How on earth do they do that? How can it change properties within a second? Incredible!
So the clever blending here really is such a winner and those who love tangy fresh fruit or sweet fruit will both be happy as this flavour gives out both!
Lemon Tart
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Lemon Tart Disposable Vape combines the sweet notes of Meringue with a Butter Biscuit Crust”
I Say…
I must be the only vaper to have never ever tried the award winning Dinner Lady Lemon Tart flavour!
Mainly because I dislike dessert vapes – especially those with Pastry – so it would not be a flavour that I would so much as glance at.
So this “Lemon Tart virgin” can sort of see why people like this.
It tastes of a Lemon Cheesecake to me, with the Buttery Biscuit Base (©Greggggg Wallace) being the overpowering flavour. I dislike this flavour massively, it just tastes greasy and oily to me – but I am a Dessert-vape-ophobe – so I am not the target market.
Putting on my “unbiased” hat – if was a dessert vape fan I would be a bit gutted at the lack of Lemon. It is just hiding in there but the Buttery Biscuity flavour is the dominant taste you get.
This does knock down a point for me, I would want more of the Lemon.
But I am obviously very very wrong – as this is one of the most popular e-liquids ever created – so ignore me!
Yes I am going to get absolutely slated for not liking this!
Bubblegum Ice
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Bubblegum Ice Disposable Vape is a new take on the traditional flavour of Bubblegum, with an icy added coolness”
I Say…
I vape Bubblegum e-liquid all the time so this is a flavour I was looking forward to!
It is a very tasty vape for sure with a nice added cooling effect. Sometimes the cooling can be overpowering but this makes it more refreshing.
This is quite a “Fruity” Bubblegum vibe and it ticks all my boxes for a satisfying vape!
It is like a Juicy Fruit Chewing Gum but not so dry, it is brighter and more sparkly – if that makes sense!
This flavour is that good I will be using this until it conks out – I love it!
Blueberry Ice
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Blueberry Ice Disposable Vape tastes like ripened and sweetened Blueberries, served with an added kick of ice”
I Say…
This one is a bit tame – compared to the massive punch of flavour that you get from the rest of the range?
There is Blueberry and a tiny bit of cooling – but I would not class it as “Ice”. Definitely not compared to some of the other ice flavours in this range.
It all seems a bit “meh”…
By no means is it flavourless, but I suppose I have been spoilt by all the exceptionally strong flavour combos of the rest of the range. This more subtle flavour seems a bit weak in comparison?
I am taking quite long drags on this to get some flavour into my mouth, which is something I didn’t do with any others. After 2-3 seconds of the other flavours my taste buds were singing with fruity sweetness. Here I am inhaling for 4 or 5 seconds and only getting a hint of the Blueberry on my tongue.
In order to compete with the quality of the others in this range, Dinner Lady need to ramp up the flavour and cooling for the Blueberry Ice.
Watermelon Ice
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Watermelon Ice Disposable Vape is a sweet trio of Cantaloupe, fresh Honeydew and crisp Watermelon”
I Say…
I am a fussy git – so sorry – but I dislike Watermelon vapes a lot.
But I will say this is one of the better renditions.
You still get that dry earthy Watermelon sensation, but the ice really enhances it and a touch of sweetness prevents it going too rich.
One for Watermelon lovers for sure!
It really is not for me, but I have to score it highly as it absolutely delivers what is promised in the description and the blending has obviously been done by a specialist.
Pineapple Peach Mango
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Pineapple Peach Mango Disposable Vape is reminiscent of sweet Peaches and Mangoes blended with the tartness of fresh Pineapple”
I Say…
Oh dear, Mango is back to haunt me – one of my flavour nemeses!
Hopefully the blending with the other fruits might save this!
Well there is a lot of Mango – it was the most dominant flavour I tasted, but thankfully there was some sweetness to stop the Mango turning into something way too heavy.
The Pineapple is great, I am not noticing much of the Peach though. Which is a shame as I would prefer the Mango to be the subtle flavour allowing the Peach and Pineapple to sing through.
However if you are a Mango vape fan – this combo brings it to another level. The sweetness lightens everything up and makes it far fresher than if it were just Mango.
The flavour concentration is spot on and there is a little tingle of cooling but nothing overpowering.
I would just like the Mango to be toned down a bit and the other two flavours to get a bit of a boost.
Again I am not the target market for this flavour – but they have done a good job!
Spearmint Menthol
Dinner Lady Says:
“The Fuyl Spearmint Menthol Disposable Vape is an incredible fusion of Spearmint, Eucalyptus and Menthol”
I Say…
This is incredibly moreish!
It reminds me of a Spearmint Chew like those shown below!
After a while the menthol kicks in and it is pure Eucalyptus swamping your mouth.
Personally I would rather this was just a pure Spearmint flavour, as I feel the menthol spoils it a bit. But the name is “Spearmint Menthol” and that is 100% accurate.
However you menthol fans will love this. It is very very delicious and the flavour and cooling sensation is spot on.
I would go so far as saying you feel like you have super fresh breath after a vape, your mouth feels like you have just chomped down a mint!
My personal preference aside – this is 10/10 all day long, it fits the description, everything tastes exactly how it should and the sensation is wonderful. Very impressive!
Performance & Number Of Puffs
It is hard to report on the number of puffs as this will vary depending on length of inhales and frequency of vaping. I would say my puffs are around 2-3 seconds.
For the Apple Peach version I got 333 puffs before the LED flashed informing me that the battery charge was empty. Prior to that the last 20 puffs were starting to loose flavour.
Using the Bubblegum Ice, I got 259 puffs before the battery died. However the last 10 or so puffs had a loss of flavour and were starting to taste dry.
So I assume the battery and e-liquid ran out at the same time with both devices so they are well matched.
With other 600 puff 2ml disposable vapes I have reviewed, my puff counts range from 140 – 190 puffs (Relx Waka SoPro PA600) and between 293 – 447 with the Jac Vapour Puff Box pods.
So the Fuyl devices sat right in the middle of those values above – which is around my average.
Plus this is a bigger puff count than I usually get with 2ml on my pod kits!
Final Review Verdict
I was really shocked how many 10/10’s I have been flinging around!
I am really fussy with flavours so I can be sensitive if something is slightly out in the blending.
Unfortunately I did have one faulty one – the Pink Lemonade. It had a dryness on the exhale which felt like it was very low on e-liquid. The same thing happened 10 vapes before the Bubblegum Ice I was endurance testing expired. I have not rated the Pink Lemonade as it was faulty.
Otherwise these are a solid range with some incredible flavours and extremely clever blending.
My personal favourites are the Bubblegum Ice, Cherry Cotton, Apple Peach and Raspberry Cola – they are just perfection – I would not change anything about them at all.
Sadly (as with the majority of disposable vapes on the market) there is little information about recycling. The instructions tell you to dispose of according to local regulations. There are no instructions on dismantling either so you can recycle. So I would suggest visiting Recycle Your Electricals to find a local recycling collection point.
Or the new UKVIA Recycle Vapes Information Hub.
