A sensational eight-race card on Sunday, including the Irish Derby. Outstanding action from the HQ of Irish flat racing.
The action takes place from 1.50 – 6pm, and what an absolute treat we have in store.
Here’s a couple who we think could run well this afternoon, fingers crossed.
Selections;
1.50 Unquestionable
A warm, 2-yr-old Group 2; and we’re unashamedly following the path of least resistance by selecting an Aidan O’Brien inmate. Unquestionable has had two career starts, both here, and both progressive. Aidan fields three, but Ryan Moore is aboard and I’m guessing there’s plenty of improvement expected for start number three.
5.25 Tarawa
No price, admittedly, but I do think this one has the ‘feel’ of a good thing.
Dermot Weld-trained, HH Aga Khan-owned, Chris Hayes up. Only beaten 3l in the Irish 1000, travelling beautifully. In my mind, should prove well above this Listed class in time, and can show just that on Sunday afternoon.
Hope it’s as good an afternoon in Ireland as it promises to be. All the best, and good luck.
