Miller Moss Passing Yards

Junior USC quarterback Miller Moss is off to a hot start in his first season as the starter. He threw for 378 yards in a season-opening win over LSU, and 229 yards in Week 2 versus Utah State.

However, he’s yet to face a defense of the caliber of the Michigan Wolverines. The 2023 National Champions defense gave up over 269 passing yards just once last season – to Ohio State, as the Buckeyes chased the game late.

Michigan’s defense isn’t the same after losing talent to the NFL, and the transfer portal. However, top-tier cover corner Will Johnson remains, as do stalwart defensive lineman Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant. The Wolverines have allowed opponents to throw for 234.3 yards per game, on only 6.1 yards per pass so far this season. Even after their earlier blowout loss to Texas.

On top of that, the Wolverines’ defense has racked up four sacks already, and their front now battles a USC offensive line with a poor 61.2 PFF pass-blocking grade. Expect Wink Martindale to dial up the pressure on Saturday afternoon, and force Miller Moss into enough mistakes to keep him under his 269.5 passing yardage prop. Throwing the football on this defense, in the Big House, won’t be easy.

Emeka Egbuka Receiving Yards

Fading Ohio State receivers has long been a profitable play. The Buckeyes welcome the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, and fading Emeka Egbuka is one of our favorite plays.

Egbuka has reeled in nine catches for 149 yards this season. However, he’s been overtaken by freshman Jeremiah Smith as the Buckeye’s top receiving option. Plus, the latest college football odds have the spread for Marshall vs Ohio State set at a massive 39.5-points. This game projects as a blowout, which will limit the opportunities #2 has to exceed his 67.5 receiving yards prop.

Additionally, Ohio State has ran the ball 72 times this season for an average of 6.2 yards per carry. There’s no reason for them to risk any of their top players’ health in what should be another ho-hum victory over an overmatched Marshall squad.

The Buckeyes’ two-header monster backfield of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson have dominated. The duo have racked up 294 yards on just 40 combined carries. They’ll continue to dominate proceedings, making Egbuka an excellent fade play in CFB Week 4 action.
