The wonderful Hollie Doyle is up top, and this one ran really well in a similar contest at Leicester last time. David Egan was in the saddle, and it was probably up there with any performance the 3-yr-old gelding has put up thus far.
Leicester is a stiff test, as is Chepstow, and you really have to get home at both venues, up those unforgiving straights. Here’s hoping off the same mark, same grade, Hollie can work her magic.
3.15 Rhubarb
I’m really following this one off the proverbial cliff! Tipped up this game 6-yr-old mare the last twice, and she’s got place-itis. Better that than not showing of course, and if all just falls into place she’s a winner waiting to happen for me.
The handicapper has taken pity and dropped her a couple of pounds, which will help a bit, and Saffie Osborne is up top. She knows the horse well. Fingers crossed it’s her night.
