Seven races on Sunday afternoon courtesy of Chelmsford City’s Polytrack all-weather circuit.
A host of the best trainers and jockeys the country has to offer are in Essex for our entertainment, and Will Buick looks to have a particularly potent book of rides.
In time-honoured fashion, let’s see if we can find a couple to run well for us on Sunday afternoon, as we; bask in glorious sunshine/dodge venomous thunderstorms (delete as appropriate).
Selections;
2.45 Coloane
William Jarvis 3-yr-old who looked a little unfortunate last time out at Nottingham, and Will Buick has been booked. Say no more..
Consistent type who might just be ready to strike with a little help from the champ.
4.30 Ben Hamrash
Tom Marquand for Ed Walker – and Oisin Murphy was up last time, so connections evidently feel this one has talent. Good third on that last outing, not beaten far, and this mark of 64 looks eminently workable.
Still shaking my head in disbelief at the majestic ride Tom gave the King’s horse Desert Hero at Royal Ascot, and he’s for me just about as good as anyone. Fingers crossed he’s on the right one on Sunday.
Enjoy a lovely afternoon’s racing, take it easy, and good luck if you’re having a flutter.
