Seven flat races from Carlisle on Saturday evening, between 5.45 – 8.52pm. Fingers crossed that the current declarations stand their ground, so 3 place, each-way betting can be sustained in every race.
We start with a lovely apprentice race, with Mia Nicholls and Connor Planas among those taking part. Both are catching the eye. Ben Curtis and Connor Beasley are among the talented seniors chasing the honours too.
As always here the accent is on stamina, up that unforgiving hill to the jam stick.

The outstanding Kevin Ryan trains, and Jungle Mate is one-from-one so far with surely plenty more to come. Lovely opening score then at Hamilton, doing his best work at the death over 5f, and gets another stiff track and an added furlong here, which I hope will suit admirably.
Cracking little 2-yr-old heat.
6.52 Zoom Star
Knocking loudly on the door in similar contests of late, and the mare’s turn could be close at hand. Apprentice of the moment Connor Planas is booked, and I’m taking the hint.
