Cardinals rookie Marvin Harrison Jr frustrated with NFL debut

Cardinals rookie Marvin Harrison Jr frustrated with NFL debut

  • By Admin

The Ohio State product Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Arizona Cardinals put forth a quiet performance with one catch for four receiving yards against the Buffalo Bills. Harrison voiced his frustration about his lackluster outing.

“I mean, obviously it wasn’t great,” Harrison said via ESPN. “Definitely wasn’t what I expected, what I wanted to happen, what the team wanted to happen. Obviously, you wanted to come out with a victory and we didn’t do that.”

At the same time, Harrison aired that he felt he could have contributed more on his end to help his team win.

“That’s why it kind of brought me here is to help the team, help the offense go,” Harrison said. “So, I have to do a better job of that going forward.

“I got to get open and catch the ball. That’s my job as a receiver. That is your job description. That’s what I got to do a better job.”

Much of the chatter heading into this 2024 season centered on Harrison forming a strong passing game duo with quarterback Kyler Murray. That pairing didn’t see much production due to the coverages the rookie wideout was facing, which played a significant role in him being a non-factor.

Harrison may have had a quiet performance, but there remain plenty of opportunities ahead to bounce back. His next challenge will be in Week 2 action against the Los Angeles Rams.
