Verstappen favored in Budapest
Max Verstappen (-150) is favored to win his third Hungarian Grand Prix in a row. The three-time reigning world champion has a commanding 84-point lead over Lando Norris (+350) in the drivers’ championship standings. He overtook his McLaren rival with four laps left at Silverstone, but had to settle for a runner-up finish.
The British Grand Prix marked the first time Verstappen has had a two-race losing streak since July 2022. Verstappen finished 33 seconds ahead of Norris at the Hungaroring last year, but that was in the midst of a 12-race winning streak for Red Bull. Things have been much more competitive in 2024, with six different drivers capturing checkered flags at the midway mark of the F1 season.
Tricky weekend all round, so happy to be on the podium 👊 Big thank you to the team @redbullracing for the great calls, and amazing work all weekend 👏#BritishGP #KeepPushing pic.twitter.com/IRaoa3IxQn

Vintage Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton (+1000) is coming off a victory at the British Grand Prix. The seven-time Formula One champion became the first driver to win on any track nine times. Ending a 56-race drought that spanned back 945 days, the 39-year-old legend picked up his 104th career win, extending his F1 record.
Mercedes now has back-to-back wins for the first time since 2021. Following his triumph in Austria, Hamilton’s teammate George Russell (+1000) claimed pole position at Silverstone, but bowed out with a suspected water system issue on Lap 34.
Other contenders at the Hungaroring
Oscar Piastri (+1200) could have won the Austrian GP if it were not for an error in qualifying that bumped him to seventh on the grid. Poor pit stop strategy then cost the 23-year-old Australian driver a podium finish in Silverstone. McLaren will have to limit mistakes for Piastri to secure his first career GP victory.
Charles Leclerc (+2000) remains ice cold since winning his home race in Monaco. Over the last four races, the Monegasque driver has only finished within the top-five once, placing 11th, 14th and 16th in the other races.

Best Bet
Verstappen (-150) has captured six of 12 races this season – however, that suggests you should be able to get at least EVEN odds. With Mercedes flourishing of late, it’s not a bad idea to ride the momentum with George Russell (+1000) or Lewis Hamilton (+1000), who has eight career victories at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
