Brentford vs Bournemouth Prediction: Goals Galore?

Brentford vs Bournemouth Prediction: Goals Galore?

  • By Admin

The Premier League returns for another weekend of action as unbeaten Brentford take on a Bournemouth side still hunting for their first league win of the season.

Brentford vs Bournemouth Tips:

  • Brentford to win and BTTS at 11/5
  • Over 4.5 match goals at 4/1

Team news:

Shandon Baptiste dislocated his shoulder in training and will be out for this match while Ivan Toney remains suspended. Meanwhile, Josh Dasilva has a medium-term hamstring issue but Mikkel Damsgaard could return from a knock for the home side.

For Bournemouth, Dango Outtara, Alex Scott and Marcus Tavernier will all miss this match as they target returns after the international break,

Brentford to win and BTTS

Leaning towards a home win in this fixture may come as no surprise given the Bees are currently unbeaten in the Premier League. What we’ve seen from them so far has been a fluid side that are not missing Ivan Toney at all, as Bryan Mbeumo and Yoanne Wissa step up to the mark.

They drew 1-1 at home against Crystal Palace last time out, but there’s a feeling they will be able to impress against a Bournemouth side still finding their way. The Cherries came from 2-0 down at Swansea in midweek to secure an impressive cup win, but Andoni Iraola is yet to win in the league.

Tottenham gave them a footballing lesson at the Vitality and they were well beaten by Liverpool, but they have shown they can score goals. In midweek they hit three, while they did find the target at Anfield, proving there’s plenty of goals in this Bournemouth side. They are likely to go down fighting, but they may just be outplayed on this occasion.

Over 4.5 match goals

Goals. Goals. Goals. That’s the order of the day for us at the Gtech Community Stadium. Brentford have scored six goals in three Premier League matches, including hitting three against Fulham – a side that may be comparable to Bournemouth this term. Meanwhile, the Cherries enjoyed a goal-fest with Championship side Swansea in midweek.

With Mbeumo, Wissa, Kevin Scade, Dom Solanke and Justin Kluivert all on the pitch, there is no shortage of goal threat. This could be the first game on Match of the Day this weekend if it pans out how we are expecting, and the 4/1 on offer for over 4.5 goals is good value. If you want to go wild, it’s 9/1 for over 5.5!
