Interim manager Ramon Menezes recorded his first win in charge of Brazil (3/10) on Saturday as he watched his side thrash Guinea 4-1 at the RCDE Stadium.
The Selecao continue their search to find a permanent replacement for Tite, who retired after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but Menezes will be eager to impress during his interim stint.
Brazil have now won all but one of their last six international friendlies since June 2022, with March’s defeat at the hands of Morocco being the exception.
Senegal (15/2), meanwhile, saw their 100% record in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers come to an end on Saturday as they were held to a somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw by Benin.
Ahead of September’s group finale against Rwanda, the Lions of Teranga take on Brazil in a mouth-watering friendly as they look to pick up a third win in four games across all competitions.
Team News
The Real Madrid trio of Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao and Rodrygo are all expected to retain their place in the starting XI after finding the back of the net last time out.
Casemiro and Lucas Paqueta are expected to start in the engine room, while Newcastle United’s Joelinton could also be given a start on Tuesday night.
As for Senegal, Kalidou Koulibaly was an unused substitute against Benin last time out, but should come into the fold here.
Sadio Mane and Ismaila Sarr will likely start on the flanks, supporting Nicolas Jackson in the final third.
Brazil to win and both teams to score @ 23/10
Both teams have scored in all four of Brazil’s last four encounters, while both teams have also scored in two of the last three matches for Senegal.
These two sides have only met once before – back in October 2019 – and the spoils were shared in a 1-1 stalemate.
However, this time, I think Brazil will have too much quality for Senegal, with huge experience in defence and midfield, and plenty of firepower in attack.
Richarlison to score first @ 4/1
The Tottenham Hotspur man has endured a frustrating campaign, scoring just three goals across all competitions.
However, the former Everton striker scored six goals across seven games leading up to and during the World Cup in Qatar at the end of last year.
Richarlison seems to perform better in the iconic yellow of Brazil, so I think 4/1 has plenty of value for the forward to strike first.
