Blue Bombers to stomp Stampeders in CFL Week 11 action

  • By Admin
  • Winnipeg (7-2) heads to Calgary (3-6) for a Western Conference showdown in Week 11
  • Hamilton (3-5) hosts an Edmonton (0-9) team that has lost 13-consecutive games
  • The Stampeders and Blue Bombers kick off from McMahon Field at 9:00pm ET on Friday, August 18

One week after handing the Toronto Argonauts their first loss of the season, the Stampeders were destroyed by the BC Lions 37-9 in Week 10. Can Calgary rebound on Friday against Winnipeg or will the Blue Bombers push their win streak to four games?

Before we make our CFL Week 11 picks, here’s where you can find all the different Sports & Competitions to bet on in 2023. If you’re a fan of pro football, enjoy this list of the best 2023 NFL Football Betting Sites.

Stampeders vs Blue Bombers

Bovada Spread Money Line Total Points
Winnipeg Blue Bombers -7.0 (-110) -320 Ov 47.5 (-110)
Calgary Stampeders +7.0 (-110) +260 Un 47.5 (-110)

Bombers favored by a touchdown

Winnipeg is a 7.0-point road favorite in Calgary. That’s a lot of points considering that Zach Collaros may miss the contest. Then again, the Blue Bombers fared just fine after the CFL’s two-time reigning Most Outstanding Player left last week’s game against Edmonton with an upper-body injury.

Taking over while trailing 22-0, backup Dru Brown passed for 307 yards and four touchdowns to lead Winnipeg to a 38-29 comeback victory. Pro Football Focus awarded the 26-year-old signal caller its top QB grade of Week 10. If he dazzles against the Stamps on Friday, Brown will be the most-prized free agent in Canadian football. We like the Bombers to win big.

Ti-Cats to take down Edmonton

Hamilton is a 5.5-point home favorite over the winless Elks on Thursday night. Edmonton blew a 22-point lead over Winnipeg to extend its CFL-record home losing streak to 22-straight games. Meanwhile, the Tiger-Cats are coming off a busy bye week where they replaced offensive coordinator Tommy Condell with former Argos bench boss Scott Milanovich.

While QB Tre Ford helped breathe life into Edmonton’s offense last week, it will be difficult for the Elks to recover from another brutal loss. Hamilton covers at home.

Ottawa to upset Alouettes

Ottawa is a 2.5-point home underdog to the Alouettes. Montreal has won three in a row after dominating Saskatchewan 41-12 last week despite missing their starting QB and running back. Cody Fajardo is listed as a game-time decision for Saturday’s Eastern Conference battle.

The Redblacks kept it close against Toronto on Sunday, losing a 44-31 showdown with the defending Grey Cup champions. After passing for a season-high 292 and three TDs, Dustin Crum will stay hot this week. Take the Ottawa moneyline at +130.

BC to blast Roughriders on the road

BC is heavy 9.5-point chalk on the road in Saskatchewan. Tied for the top spot in the West with Winnipeg, the 7-2 Lions are coming off a 37-9 beatdown of Calgary. Vernon Adams Jr. was sensational in his return from injury, passing for 322 yards and four TDs.

The Roughriders lost starting QB Mason Fine in last Friday’s blowout loss to Montreal and backup Jake Dolegala did not look like a capable replacement by any means. Take British Columbia and the points.
