Indulge your sweet tooth with this creamy, protein-packed flummery. A delicious and nutritious twist on a classic dessert, flavoured with the refreshing taste of Blackcurrant Protein Water by Feel Good Protein. Enjoy your Blackcurrant Protein Flummery!
Ingredients
1 cup Feel Good Protein Water – Blackcurrant
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 ½ tbsp gelatine powder
1 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh berries for garnish
Method
- In a jug, add the Blackcurrant Protein Water powder to 600ml water. Stir or whisk to combine.
- In a separate bowl, add gelatine to 2 tbsp of cold water. Stir and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, gently heat the evaporated milk over low-medium heat until warm. Be careful not to boil.
- Once the milk is warm, add the vanilla extract and sugar-free maple syrup. Gently stir.
- Add the gelatine to the milk mixture. Stir well.
- Add the Feel Good Protein Water to the pan. Stir again until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a serving dish or moulds.
- Let it cool to room temperature and then place in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Or until fully set and firm.
- Once set, remove from the fridge and garnish with your choice of toppings. We used fresh berries and whipped cream. Enjoy your Blackcurrant Protein Flummery!
