Bills vs Broncos Prediction: Bills to get back on track

 | November 12 |

3 mins read

Monday Night Football (01:15 Tuesday UK time) sees the Denver Broncos face a tough trip to Highmark Stadium, on their return from a bye week, to face the Buffalo Bills.

These two teams aren’t too far apart in terms of the standings – Denver are 3-5 for the season, and the Bills are 4-5. The Broncos last outing saw them stun the Kansas City Chiefs 24-9, while Buffalo lost away at Cincinnati.

Bills vs Broncos Prediction

  • Buffalo Bills (-6.5) @ 20/23
  • Under 46.5 Points @ 10/11

Team News

Buffalo have a lengthy injury list to contend with, starting with cornerback Christian Benford (hamstring) and safety Micah Hyde (neck), who both missed practice Thursday and Friday.

Linebacker Terrel Bernard (concussion) was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday while receiver Stefon Diggs (back) is also a doubt here. Defensive end Leonard Floyd and safety Jordan Poyer each missed practice Thursday but returned in a full capacity Friday, as did linebackers A.J. Klein and Baylon Spector.

Denver are of course coming off a bye week which has served them well – every player on the active roster participated in full at practice on Thursday and Friday, so they should be fully equipped for the trip to Buffalo.

Match Odds

The Bills are favs at 3/10 on the money line, while the Broncos are 13/5 to pick up a third consecutive victory. In fact, Denver are a +7.5 underdog at 5/6.

Buffalo Bills (-7.5) @ EVS

Denver may have won two straight games but they haven’t had much success against the Bills in recent years, and they are just 1-2 on the road. In fact, the Broncos have lost their last five away matches following a victory.

Buffalo need to get back on track here in front of their own fans, after losing two of their past three outings, and although they are dealing with multiple injuries, there aren’t too many QBs better than Josh Allen, and more importantly, the Bills know how to keep hold of the football, which should see them through here.

Under 46.5 Points @ 10/11

This total has landed in three of Buffalo’s past four games, and in each of Denver’s past three outings, suggesting that both offenses are not firing on all cylinders coming into this clash.

That being said, Denver are 16th in scoring offense with an average of 21.5 points per game, while they are 32nd in scoring defense by allowing an average of 28.3 points a contest. So, if Buffalo get hot, it’s easy to see how they could land over the points total.

However, the Bills are stuttering through games at the minute just trying to get back to .500, and I do think their injuries will slow them down here. I’m going to back the under on the points total, as I can see this becoming a scrappy affair.
