Betfred British Masters names Guide Dogs as Official Charity Partner
It’s exactly a week until the start of the Betfred British Masters at the iconic Belfry and today one of the UK’s leading sight-loss charities, Guide Dogs, was chosen by our host Sir Nick Faldo as the Official Charity Partner of the prestigious event.
To celebrate this superb charity partner, Betfred boss Fred Done has also announced details of a charity pledge for the week’s activities, which should raise a significant sum of money to help Guide Dogs achieve their aims.
Betfred’s Charity Donation
- We will donate £500 for every eagle made across the 72-hole tournament
- We will donate £500 for every player that drives the famous 10th hole
- We will donate £50,000 if any professional player makes a hole-in-one at the 14th hole
One of the UK’s leading sight loss charities, Guide Dogs will be the Official Charity Partner of the Betfred British Masters for the first time, as the popular tournament marks the beginning of the DP World Tour’s Back 9 on the Race to Dubai.
Six-time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo, who hosts the Betfred British Masters for the second consecutive year, has chosen Guide Dogs to be this year’s beneficiary as a charity close to his heart.
Guide Dogs helps people with sight loss live the life they choose. Whether it’s children or adults, friends or family. Whoever they are, the expert staff, volunteers and life-changing dogs are there to help them.
Founded in 1934, following their first partnership in 1931, Guide Dogs is a charity that is almost entirely dependent on donations. Find out more at guidedogs.org.uk.
“Guide Dogs is an amazing charity and I’m delighted to be supporting them as host of the 2024 Betfred British Masters.
The work Guide Dogs do every day is incredibly important, with over two million people living with sight loss in the UK alone.
The Betfred British Masters has raised thousands of pounds for various charities over the years and I am hopeful of continuing that trend this year and making a real difference to the people who benefit from Guide Dogs’ services.”

“I am delighted that this year’s Betfred British Masters will be supporting Guide Dogs. A very worthy charity indeed and all credit to the staff and volunteers that turn these wonderful puppies into life changing companions for so many people.
As a dog owner myself I have nothing but absolute admiration when watching guide dogs in action, so let’s hope we can get a few tails wagging during the week and hand over a very healthy cheque at the end of the tournament.”

The ever-popular Long-Putt Challenge will return to the PGA Village, alongside the Iconic Shots Simulator, giving spectators the opportunity to win fantastic prizes and donate to Guide Dogs, while the Drive the Green simulator will be located in the Brabazon Village. Spectators can take part in each of the activations for a minimum donation of just £3, while donation points will be situated in various locations around The Belfry.
“We’re delighted to have been chosen as this year’s Betfred British Masters Charity Partner. The funds raised from this prestigious event will mean we can provide life-changing services to more people living with sight loss. We’re extremely grateful to Sir Nick Faldo and all the British Masters community for their incredible support.
Throughout the tournament spectators will have a chance to take part in numerous fun golfing challenges and activities in order to raise vital funds. Our guide dog demonstration team will also be showcasing the skills that our dogs need to help give people with a vision impairment the independence and confidence to live the life they choose.”
