A funny thing happened to Kyle Larson en route to victory lane in last week’s NASCAR stop at Las Vegas. He didn’t get there.
Finishing up the track, an 11th-place outcome brought a halt to his two-race win streak in Sin City. However, it isn’t deterring oddsmakers from backing Larson again this week.
The driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports is the +300 betting favorite to win the NASCAR Cup Series Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Larson has won a series-leading six races this season.
NASCAR Cup Series points leader Christopher Bell is the second betting choice in the Straight Talk Wireless 400 at +600. He’s the reigning champion in this race.

The NASCAR Cup playoff field has been whittled down from 12 to eight drivers. After two more races, the playoff grouping will be shortened to just four drivers for the final race of the season at Phoenix on November 10. With his win in last week’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Joey Logano has automatically clinched one of those final four spots.

NASCAR Straight Talk Wireless 400 Winner Betting
Larson will be looking to bounce back from last week’s performance. It halted his two-race streak of finishing in the top five places. He’s had four top-five finishes at Homestead over his Cup Series career. That includes a win in 2022. However, recent history in Miami has proven unkind to Larson. He was 34th in last year’s race.
Although his sample size is small, Bell is someone who enjoys his visits to South Beach. Along with his win last year, he was 11th in 2022 and eighth in 2020. Although he’s not won since late June at New Hampshire, Bell has finished second in each of the last two races.

Denny Hamlin is the active leader in wins at Homestead. He’s driven his Toyota to victory in Miami in 2009, 2013 and 2020. However, Hamlin was 30th here last year. As well, he’s winless over his last 22 races.
Despite his win last week, there’s not much betting love going Logano’s way. The shortest odds you’ll find on him are +2000 at Bovada and Betonline, but he’s as high as +2500 at BetUS. Logano won at Miami in 2018 and was eighth here last season. And with a final four spot already locked up, Logano is free to get after it without worrying about any consequences to his advancement in the playoffs.
Kyle Busch (+2200) is a two-time winner at Homestead-Miami, posting victories in 2015 and 2019. Other past winners in this year’s field include Martin Truex Jr (+1400), who won in 2017 and William Byron (+650), the 2021 winner at Miami. Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney (+1200) was second here last year and third in 2020.

Chevrolet is the +119 favorite to be the manufacturer that wins the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series title. And it’s Hendrick Motorsports that is being backed as the +120 chalk to be the team that lifts the championship trophy.
Best Bets To Win 2024 NASCAR Cup Series
Larson not only didn’t win in Vegas, he surrendered the top spot in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings to Bell. Yet as is the case with this race, those who set the odds are staying with Larson as the driver to beat.
He’s set as the +260 favorite to win his second Cup Series title. Larson was also NASCAR champion in 2021. Two-time champion Logano is given the nod as the second betting choice at +300. Series leader Bell is third in this betting market at +325. You’ll get +400 odds on Byron becoming champion.
Straight Talk Wireless 400 Winner Betting Picks and Predictions
While Larson is being given the shortest odds, it was Bell who made short work of the field here a year ago.
This consistent performer is long overdue to be doing some celebratory burnouts at the conclusion of a Cup Series race. We think this is going be the week that Bell finally takes another checkered flag.
