Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 1 Easter Eggs & Breakdown

  • By Admin

The Bad Batch Season 3 premiere is here. I’m excited my favorite defective (and effective) clones are back but bummed because this is the final season. When we left them, Omega had been taken to Tantiss which left Wrecker and Hunter to search for her. Let’s get into “Confined” with this Bad Batch Season 3 episode 1 easter eggs, breakdown, and recap.

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 1 Easter Eggs

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 1 Easter Eggs & Breakdown

Shuttle 135 is attempting to land on Tantiss during a storm. It ends up crashing outside the barrier which puts them in danger of the creatures that live on the planet. Hemlock ignores TK-343‘s calls for help; he isn’t concerned about the loss of these troopers. Even the Lurca Hounds have issues with whatever is out there.

Omega is sitting in her room, which is essentially an upgraded prison cell. Emerie comes to get her for her daily routines.

She passes Crosshair in the hallway, looking worse for wear.

Inside the lab, Emerie draws Omega’s blood for “research purposes,” something that each clone must do every day. Emerie tells Omega she was sent away from Camino until Dr. Hemlock found her. Omega is sent to deliver the blood samples to Nala Se.

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 1 Easter Eggs M Count

Nala Se destroys Omega’s blood sample. She reveals that the Empire is seeking to reproduce the genetic M-Count, but so far they have been unsuccessful with the experiments on the test subjects.

M-Count refers to Midi-chlorian, the microscopic life-forms that live symbiotically inside the cells of all living things. Higher M-Counts are linked to potential in the Force. In the past (according to Legends), Darth Plagueis figured out how to manipulate the midi-chlorians to create life. This led to the birth of Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One.

This storyline, along with The Mandalorian fills in the blanks of how Emperor Palpatine was able to come back in the sequel trilogy.

Hemlock interrupts Nala Se before she can tell Omega what they have been experimenting on. He takes Nala Se to The Vault, where the experiments are kept. Omega however is left behind.

Omega’s other duties include feeding the Lurca Hounds. She collects some hay to put into her lunch pail and shares some of her food with a particularly aggressive hound she has named Batcher

The Bad Batch fandom are called Batchers.

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 1 Easter Eggs Crosshair

Back in the hallway, she sees many Clone Troopers suffering as she makes her way to Crosshair’s cell. She wants to plan an escape, which he believes is pointless. She won’t give up on him though. Crosshair’s hands are shaking, traumatized by whatever experiments they have been doing on him.

Back in her “room” she scratches the walls to mark the time. It appears she has only been on Tantiss for a few weeks at this point. Opening her lunch pail she puts the sharp knife inside it and pulls out the straw to make her own version of Lula, the Tooka Doll Wrecker gave her.

A lot of time passes as Omega’s routine never changes.

One day, Omega discovers Batcher (LH-201) has been injured. The droid in charge, K-9X1, tells her that if Batcher’s wounds don’t heal, she will be terminated. She helps as best she can but is worried about the hound.

At Crosshair’s cell, he once again tells her to forget about him and the hound. He claims he would leave her behind but she knows he is lying. He replies, “Don’t risk anything for me.”

Emerie and some guards enter Omega’s room for a surprise inspection. They find her Lula doll and take it because personal items are forbidden

Nala Se tells Hemlock the Emperor should be pleased they had a successful M-Count transfer, but Hemlock reminds her that the midi-chlorians were severely diminished in the process– not the result they are looking for.

Omega goes to take care of the Lurca Hounds and K-9X1  tells her Batcher will be killed because Omega domesticated her. Omega takes out the droid before releasing Batcher into the wild. Hemlock threatens her with consequences, ones that will affect Crosshair if she continues to disobey.

As Omega looks out her window, Emerie appears and gives her back the straw Lula. In the distance Batcher howls at the moon
