Over the last 20 years, independent French luxury watch brand, B.R.M. Chronographes has forged tight ties with the world of Motorsport. Creating stunning and unique timepieces in limited numbers for those who’d rather be on a racetrack than behind a desk, and developing innovative movements designs to resist shock and impact.
Today, B.R.M Chronographes watchmakers are applying this experience to take to the water, with a new timepiece collection inspired by nautical sports: – Boat Master.
Local suppliers that were sourced were committed to the sustainable initiatives on environment and preserving resources, durable materials were used like stainless steel for the dial, and most of the detailed components of this majestic timepiece. The Boat Master collection is available in 34 mm (BM2 model) or 44 mm (BM6 model) in either polished steel or a variety of PVD colour finishing that you prefer either black, blue and brown.
While there is an option of a white dial on the BM2 model, the main visual appeal of the Boat Master timepieces is its signature sunburst blue dial, overlaid with inscriptions of the main winds found in the Provence region of France – Tramontane (North), Levant (East), Marin (South), Ponant (West) – at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The 44 mm BM6 model features the innovative Shock Absorber system that ensures operation of the Swiss Made 2824/2 automatic movement, in even the most extreme conditions.
Another particularity of this sublime object is the crown placed in the number four side of the watch, to give a way to move your wrist freely with your watch while pulling the mast of the boat or performing your water sports.
Since the Boat Master collection is designed for a life on the waves, the strap provided with it has to be too. A thought which led B.R.M Chronographes to the world of diving suits and life jackets and a fabric called Hypalon, a synthetic rubber material with excellent water and tear resistance. An ideal choice for a truly weather resistant watch strap, and a first in the watchmaking industry.
