Atlas is the early favorite
Atlas (+400) lost 24-23 to Chrome (+500) in the final of the inaugural PLL Championship Series back in February. The team was eliminated in the first round of the postseason in 2022, but added serious talent in the draft thanks to holding three of the top 11 picks.
Trevor Baptiste is looking to capture his second-straight league MVP, but only two players have accomplished that feat in the history of pro field lacrosse. Still, he’s one of the top faceoff men in the PLL, and starting attackman Jeff Teat has been on fire early in the campaign. Atlas is deep with talent across the lineup.
Doing what he does best 👀🤘
Jeff Teat through two weeks:
✔️ 10 Points (T-1st in the league)
✔️ 2 Assists (T-2nd in the league)

Top contenders in PLL
Archers (+450) is in a period of transition after parting ways with five players who were part of the original squad. After finishing near the bottom in faceoff winning percentage since the PLL’s inception, they drafted Mike Sisselberger, who has the highest NCAA single-season faceoff-winning percentage of all time.
Redwoods (+500) is happy to have Ryan Lee back from injury after the seasoned goal scorer missed all of 2022 with a knee injury. The club also added Lee’s National Lacrosse League teammate Eli McLaughlin, who registered back-to-back 83-point seasons with Colorado.
Recent champions
Waterdogs LC (+650) defeated the defending champions Chaos LC (+700) 11-9 in the 2022 championship game. The club finished the regular season with a 5-5 record, but heated up in the playoffs thanks to red-hot play from championship MVP Michael Sowers. With the surprise retirement of gold medalist Ryan Brown, they’ll need a healthy season from Sowers to stay in the mix.
Whipsnakes LC (+700) won the first two PLL titles in 2019 and 2020 and finished first in the regular season last year with a 9-1 record. The club started the 2023 campaign with two tightly-contested losses, but coach Jim Stagnitta’s dynastic team should rebound after making a few strong offensive additions in the offseason.

Best Bet
The first four years of PLL action has also shown us that the clubs are all incredibly evenly matched with a great deal of parity. So, as long as you’re not betting on Cannons (+1800), you have a shot.
You also shouldn’t worry too much about the standings when wagering on the PLL. Of the league’s eight franchises, seven qualify for the playoffs, with the top-seeded team earning a bye into the semifinals
We’ll take Redwoods at +500.
