Atalanta vs Salernitana Prediction: In-form hosts can run riot once again

Salernitana’s players might still be having nightmares about their last visit to Atalanta as they prepare to head back to the Gewiss Stadium on Monday evening (KO, 19:45).

As for Salernitana, goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa remains on the sidelines with a shoulder injury, while Federico Fazio is suspended for being shown a red card while on the bench against Bologna.

Boulaye Dia returned from injury to face Bologna and is likely to start up top once again alongside Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi, while Grigoris Kastanos might have to settle for a spot on the bench.

Back focusing on Serie A duties, Atalanta have a great opportunity to make it three wins on the spin when they face rock-bottom Salernitana.

Scoring three goals in Atalanta’s last two games, Luis Muriel is a forward growing in confidence.

The Colombian might well start Monday’s game on the bench, with the likes of Charles de Ketelaere and Lookman above him in the pecking order.

However, Muriel is likely to be brought on in the second half when Salernitana might be tiring.

That’s when Muriel can strike and, judging by his recent form, it would be no surprise to see him make it three games on the spin in which he’s found the back of the net.
