All the big boys come into the Carabao Cup in the third round and on Wednesday night, we have another all Premier League affair between Aston Villa and Everton. We’ve previewed the fixture and given you two suggested selections.
Aston Villa vs Everton Tips
Aston Villa (8/11) enter this game as big favourites and it’s no huge surprise, given the two sides’ respective league positions.
Unai Emery’s men are sat in the European positions in 6th spot, after an impressive four wins from their opening six matches.
One of those victories was a 4-0 walloping of Wednesday night’s visitors, who Villa have an excellent record against.
Everton (7/2) have lost their last five games in all competitions against the Midlands outfit and are struggling down in 15th spot in the league.
They did, however, pick up their first win at the weekend, with Sean Dyche’s charges beating Brentford on the road 3-1.
Both sides were knocked out of the League Cup at this very stage last season, so will be hoping for a much deeper run this time around.
Team news:
Emery is without Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia, who both have season-threatening injuries. Jacob Ramsey and Bertrand Traore are both doubts here and will need to be assessed.
Dyche is still missing Seamus Coleman and Dele Alli but could welcome back Jack Harrison and Andre Gomes into the squad.
Aston Villa to win and Both Teams To Score – 23/10
Jhon Duran Anytime goal scorer – 6/4
