Arsenal and Brighton get the action started on the third weekend of the 2024/25 Premier League season in a clash of two unbeaten teams at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (12:30, live on TNT Sports).
Read on for my Arsenal vs Brighton prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.
Arsenal vs Brighton Predictions
Arsenal are heavy favourites at 3/10 to claim all three points, with Brighton available at 15/2 – while the draw is a 4/1 shot.
Over 3.5 goals in the match is priced at 5/4 with under 3.5 at 4/7, and it’s 5/6 that both teams score in the game and the same price for at least one side to fail to find the net.
Team News
Arsenal are still without defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu (hamstring) and Kieran Tierney (knee), while striker Gabriel Jesus is a doubt after missing the win over Aston Villa due to a thigh injury. New arrival Mikel Merino is available to make his first appearance for the Gunners in midfield.
Brighton will be missing new signing Matt O’Riley, who picked up a serious ankle injury in his Seagulls debut against Crawley in the EFL Cup. Solly March, Evan Ferguson and Pervis Estupinan are also out of action due to injuries.
Arsenal to win & both teams to score @ 7/4
Arsenal have opened the season in impressive fashion and are fancied to extend their Premier League winning run to nine games, which would be their best sequence since their unbeaten season in 2003/04.
The Gunners have not dropped a point since the home defeat to Aston Villa in April which ultimately cost them the Premier League title, but they gained revenge over the Villans last week with a 2-0 away win.
That game was goalless for more than an hour until substitute Leandro Trossard, a former Albion star, broke the deadlock, but this game could be more open from the start and Brighton are capable of becoming the first team to breach Arsenal’s defences this season.
Brighton have had some success in this fixture, winning three of their last four games at the Emirates, and they have begun the season well after falling from sixth in 2022/23 to 11th place last season as Roberto De Zerbi’s final season petered out.
New manager Fabian Hurzeler has made an impressive start but this may be a little early in his tenure for a major upset and a consolation goal may be all Brighton take from this game.

Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 11/4
Bukayo Saka was Arsenal’s top scorer last season with 16 Premier League goals and he looks set for another impressive haul after making a bright start to the new campaign.
Saka scored in three of the Gunners’ final seven league games last season, including the opening goal in the 3–0 away win over Brighton at the Amex in early April, and he already has a goal and two assists in his first two matches this term.
Brighton’s entertaining style tends to lead to chances at both ends of the pitch and they allow opponents more sights of goal than would be ideal when facing a team as clinical as Arsenal.
Saka has been a bright spark in both of Arsenal’s first two games and looks worth backing to add to his tally when Brighton visit on Saturday.
