Alabama vs Arkansas History
The Crimson Tide has been riding a wave of dominance over the Razorbacks, with a winning streak that has been unbroken for over a decade. The most recent clash in 2022 saw Alabama triumph with a score of 49-26, further cementing their superiority in this matchup
Here are the scores for the last five games:
- 2022: Alabama 49, Arkansas 26
- 2021: Alabama 42, Arkansas 35
- 2020: Alabama 52, Arkansas 3
- 2019: Alabama 48, Arkansas 7
- 2018: Alabama 65, Arkansas 31
Crimson Tide Finding Their Groove
The Crimson Tide enter Saturday’s game currently riding a three-game winning streak. In their last game against Texas A&M, they won 26-20 after a second-half comeback led by quarterback Jalen Milroe.
Milroe has been in excellent form since his benching after the Texas loss and has accounted for six touchdowns in the past two games. Receiver Jermaine Burton has also been on fire, catching nine passes receptions for 197 yards and two scores against the Aggies.
The Tide’s defense has elite all season, ranking in the nation’s top 15 in both scoring (15.2 points per game) and total defense (299.5 yards). The Crimson Tide frustrated the Aggie offense in College Station last weekend, holding them to just 67 rushing yards.
In terms of betting stats, Alabama is 4-2 against the spread this season and the over/under has gone under in four of Alabama’s six games this season.
Razorbacks Searching for First SEC Win
While Alabama is an SEC West team trending upwards, the Razorbacks are an SEC West team heading in the opposite direction. Sam Pittman’s team has lost their first three conference games and has only won two of their six contests overall.
In their last game against Ole Miss, they lost 27-20 after a late comeback attempt fell short. The Razorbacks found some success through the air against the Aggies, but they were held to a miserable 36 rushing yards on the ground.

Quarterback KJ Jefferson has been their standout player this season, throwing for 1,276 yards and nine touchdowns while also rushing for 259 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Treylon Burks has been his favorite target, catching 33 passes for 534 yards and four touchdowns.
Arkasnas’ offense has actually been averaging 31.3 points per game, slightly higher than Alabama, ranking 44th in the nation. However, their defense has been struggling, allowing an average of 25.3 points per game, ranking 9th in the SEC.
Arkansas is only 2-4 against the spread, while the total has gone over in three of Arkansas’ six games.
Alabama vs Arkansas Prediction
This is quite a lopsided matchup on paper, hence why oddsmakers are setting the betting line so high. The Razorbacks have enough offensive weapons to put up a fight potentially, but we don’t see them slowing down this Tide offense that is catching fire at the right time.
The Last five Alabama vs Arkansas games have seen the Tide win by an average of 30.8 points. The Razorbacks haven’t been able to hold on to leads such as their loss to BYU, and there are reportedly some internal issues surrounding OC Dan Enos’s play calling.
With the Razorbacks having almost a non-existent running game this season and relying heavily on Jefferson’s arm, we like the Tide to win a higher-scoring game in fairly convincing fashion.
Milroe now has the third-highest passer rating in the SEC, and Saturday’s opponent provides the perfect opportunity for him to continue his upward trajectory.
Picks:
- Alabama -19.5 (-110)
- Over 46.5 (-110)
