At the time of writing the biggest Draftstars contest for this round is a $60,000 competition for the Thursday night clash between Richmond and Sydney. Entry costs $15 and the top 25% of participants will receive a payout.

Western Bulldogs

Western Bulldogs vs. Collingwood

Collingwood

Collingwood have won ten of their last eleven games and they have gone 18-2 as the bookmaker’s favourite over the last twelve months. The Pies have won five of their last seven away games against the Bulldogs, including their last two away clashes. I would back Collingwood in the head-to-head at 1.55 (Bet Right).

Brisbane

Brisbane vs. West Coast

West Coast

West Coast have failed to cover the line in their last four away games and their last three away fixtures resulted in the following margins of defeat: Sydney: 171, Adelaide: 122, Hawthorn: 116. Brisbane are more than capable of dishing out heavy defeats at the Gabba. They beat Richmond by 81 points at this venue just last week. They also beat North Melbourne by a 75-point margin in April. I would back Brisbane -81.5 at 1.90 (PlayUp). Those looking for less risk should consider Brisbane -66.5 at 1.40 (Bet Right).

GWS

GWS vs. Hawthorn

Hawthorn

GWS have gone 3-1 as the home favourite over the last twelve months and they have won six of their last eight home games against Hawthorn. Hawthorn have gone 1-9 in the head-to-head and 2-8 at the line as the away underdog over the last twelve months. Seven of Hawthorn’s nine away defeats over the last twelve months were by 25+ points. I would back GWS in the head-to-head at 1.22 (Bet Right).

St Kilda

St Kilda vs. Melbourne

Melbourne

St Kilda have averaged a total score of 141.3 across their eight times at Marvel Stadium this season. Their average total score of 150.7 for the season is the lowest in the league. Melbourne, meanwhile, have the 15th highest total score average, at 160.3 per game. The Demons’ last seven away games went under the total and and their last three games against the Saints went under. Rather than take the headline 158.5 total, I’m going to add some insurance and back under 168.5 at 1.50 (bet365).

Port Adelaide

Port Adelaide vs. Gold Coast

Gold Coast

Port Adelaide have won twelve consecutive games. The Power have gone 10-2 as the favourite over the last twelve months and they have gone 13-1 as the favourite against Gold Coast over the last decade. Gold Coast have not been a good travelling team over the last twelve months. The Suns have gone 3-8 away from home and 1-6 as the away underdog. At the line, Gold Coast have gone 2-5 as the away underdog over the last twelve months, while Port Adelaide have covered the line in their last three home games. I would back Port Adelaide in the head-to-head at 1.20 (BlueBet).

Geelong

Geelong vs. North Melbourne

North Melbourne

Geelong have gone 11-2 as the home side over the last twelve months. Nine of those wins were by 25+ margins and seven were by 40+ margins. North Melbourne, meanwhile, have lost thirteen games in a row. Seven of their nine away away defeats over the last twelve months were by 25+ margins. The Kangaroos have also lost ten consecutive games to the Cats and their last five away defeats were all by 25+ margins. This game will be played at GMHBA Stadium, a venue that North Melbourne have not won at since 2015. I would back Geelong 25+ at 1.28 (Dabble).
