Aberdeen v Motherwell Prediction: Hosts fancied for victory
Aberdeen have put in a pair of decent performances since Neil Warnock’s arrival as manager but they will be hoping to get their first league win of his tenure when they host Motherwell.
Here we pick out the best bets for Wednesday’s Scottish Premiership clash, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Aberdeen vs Motherwell Betting Tips
Team News
Slobodan Rubezic and James McGarry remain injured for Aberdeen with knee and hamstring issues respectively.
Goalkeeper Ross Doohan made his debut for the club at the weekend but first choice goalkeeper Kelle Roos is likely to return here.
For Motherwell, Callum Slattery and Oli Shaw are ruled out while Barry Maguire is a doubt.
In better news Jonathan Obika could start after returning from a hamstring issue to feature on the substitutes bench last time out.
Match Odds
Aberdeen can be backed at 9/10 for the victory, while Motherwell are 11/4 outsiders and the draw is available at 12/5.
Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 10/11, while both teams to score is priced at 4/5 and it is 7/4 for over 1.5 goals in the first half.
Aberdeen to win and over 1.5 goals @ 11/8
Motherwell suffered a disappointing defeat last time out, departing the Scottish Cup after losing 2-1 to Championship side Greenock Morton.
Things have not been much better in the league for the Well, who are just six points clear of the bottom two after winning five of their 24 matches.
They are unbeaten in their last five league games however after a resounding 5-0 win over Ross County earlier in the month.
A European campaign has been a major distraction for Aberdeen this season but they still have a strong squad and have beaten Eintracht Frankfurt this term.
Their league form has not reflected their overall quality but they did beat these opponents 4-2 earlier in the campaign.
Motherwell only have one win in 11 away league games and that run could continue with Aberdeen fancied to win a game with over 1.5 goals.
There have been 26 goals in Motherwell’s last six matches and another relatively high-scoring affair is fancied.
Bojan Miovski to score at any time @ 10/11
Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski has been their standout performer this season and he can get on the scoresheet again here.
The Macedonian has 13 league goals and has netted in both his sides’ games under Neil Warnock, who has described him as the best striker he has managed.
Miovski is clearly a cut above and will likely move for big money in the summer, side with him to net again.
