Diablo 4 Andariel Boss Guide
Our Andariel boss guide covers her location, how to summon both versions, and item drops.
Andariel, the Maiden of Anguish, is one of the newest bosses added to Diablo 4’s roster. Similar to Duriel, Andariel is an Uber Boss in Diablo 4, making her loot table consist of some rather impressive Uber Uniques.
She can only be found in World Tier 4 and is a level 100 boss, so come prepared. Her fight is actually more of a mechanical fight than Duriel’s, and it’s possible to do Andariel while taking significantly less damage by dodging her mechanics. This also has the added effect of making the boss slightly more enjoyable to summon.
Andariel Location
Getting to Andariel is relatively easy. She resides in the Hanged Man’s Hall, which is east of Tarsarak, which means you can simply take the waypoint to Tarsarak, located in the Scouring Sands area of Kehjistan and just travel east to the Hanged Man’s Hall.
How to Summon Andariel
Once inside the Hanged Man’s Hall, head roughly north until you reach a clearing and an Alter. The alter allows you to perform the Ritual of Anguish, which summons Andarial.
Andarial has some item requirements in order to be summoned:
- Sandscorched Shackles – x2
- Pincushioned Doll – x2
How to Summon Tormented Andariel
Summoning the Tormented Andariel is functionally the same as summoning Andariel, except that the Ritual of Anguish window will have an arrow that allows you to change it to Tormented Andariel.
The items required are slightly different for this summoning:
- Stygian Stone – x2
- Sandscorched Shackles – x6
- Pincushioned Doll – x6

How to Beat Andariel
Andariel isn’t an incredibly difficult fight, and you can get strong enough to disregard her mechanics; however, regardless of your power, there are a few mechanics worth noting when fighting her.
Effigy of Anguish
The first stage of Andariel that you’ll notice after knocking off a portion of her health is when she disappears from the Arena, and three Effigies spawn around the Arena. Each Eiffgy will have a circle around them, and they will be immune to damage from outside the circle. The player must be close to the distance, within the circle, before being able to destroy the Effigy.
Once all three Effigies are destroyed, Andariel will reappear; this mechanic will then loop when Andariel gets knocked below certain stages in health. Each time, the Effigy Arena will get harder, bringing in new mechanics to look out for and dodge.
