Giffard Liqueurs & Syrups and rum producer Worthy Park Estate have launched Daiqs & Dogs, a charitable initiative to raise awareness and funds for national and local animal charities through craft cocktails. In honor of National Hot Dog Day (July 17th) and National Daiquiri Day (July 19th), the week-long celebration of Daiquiris and hot dogs at bars and restaurants across the country will help provide shelter, medical care and loving homes to dogs.
From Sunday, July 14th to Friday, July 19th, consumers can head to participating bars to enjoy specialty Daiquiris and hot dogs, and support the vital work of The Humane Society through a donation. Proceeds will go towards both national and local animal charities.
Some of the special offers include a Daiquiri with Giffard’s Banana and Lychee liqueurs with an IPA reduction and acid-adjusted grapefruit juice, alongside a foot-long hotdog at Madame George in New York. Lolita in New York has a spicy pineapple-flavored Daiquiri and Tijuana-inspired hot dog. And Parklife, a modern taqueria in Brooklyn, will serve a lychee Daiquiri and chorizo corn dog.
