Panthers vs Bears SGP Picks: DJ Moore Receptions

The Panthers pass defense is one of the better units at eighth in yards per game allowed.

But their defense it littered with injuries this week. LB Brian Burns is out. Now he won’t affect the secondary. But safeties Vonn Bell and Xavier Woods are questionable and CB CJ Henderson is out in the Panthers vs Bears injury reports.

With that secondary softened up, it should be a good night for Bears WR DJ Moore. Moore is sixth in league receiving yards.

Most of those yards came earlier in the season with games of 104, 131 and 230 yards in his first five games. In the last four games he’s finished with 51, 54, 55 and 44 yards.

So let’s instead focus on his receptions. After catching 3/5 passes last week, Moore extended a streak to eight games where he’s caught at least three passes. In the five games prior he exceeded three passes in each game.

Panthers vs Bears SGP Picks: Adam Thielen Receiving Yards

Adam Thielen came up short in his props last week against the Colts catching just 5/6 passes for 29 yards. That was his lowest total since Week 1 when he had 12. But inbetween those games he’s finished with 54, 145, 76, 107, 115 and 72 yards.

Thielen is Carolina’s clear top receiving threat and is 13th overall in league receiving yards. Fellow WR DJ Clark is doubtful tonight for the Panthers, which could mean even more passes in the direction of Thielen.

The Bears secondary is 28th in passing yards allowed so as poor as Bryce Young has looked, he should be able to find his favorite target for 50+ yards to round out our Panthers vs Bears SGP.
