West Ham have been quietly going about their business under Davie Moyes this season. They sit 9th but can leapfrog Villa in sixth with a win today.
They’ve dropped 10 points this season and eight of those have come against team in the Top 5 in the table. They face another tough assignment at Villa Park today where the hosts have won their last 10 fixtures in the league.
In fact in the calendar year so far only Arsenal and Manchester City have picked up more points than Unai Emery’s men.
Six of the last seven meetings have seen both teams score and it’s just 8/15 to land again today. For of those six saw Over 2.5 Goals, a 4/7 shot this afternoon.
Douglas Luiz has scored in five consecutive top-flight home fixtures and is a tasty looking 10/3 to keep that run going today.
The perception is that Tynecastle is a tough venue for Celtic to visit but the truth is a little different. Hearts have won just twice in the last 16 meetings in Gorgie, dating back to 2011.
One of those victories ended an incredible 69-game unbeaten domestic run for the Bhoys under Brendan Rodgers so he’ll be wary that his team’s unbeaten start to the season doesn’t come unstuck in Edinburgh again.
The visitors are 9/20 to win, whilst its 11/2 for Hearts to inflict Celtic’s first league defeat of the season.
The Jam Tarts have forced their way in to fourth place but performances remain unconvincing. They surrendered a 2-0 lead in the Edinburgh Derby last time out to make it just one win in four at home in the league.
Celtic too have yet to hit fully top gear this season but performances are improving and the influential Reo Hatate looks close to being back to his best. The Japan internationalist scored a screamer at Tynecastle early in his Celtic career and could be a bit of value at 4/1 to score today.
Recent new arrival Luis Palma has scored a couple for the Hoops already and was incredibly unlucky to have a goal chopped against Lazio. The wide-man looks dangerous coming in off the wing and is 10/1 to open the scoring or 3/1 to net anytime.
