Who needs seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady? With Baker Mayfield at the controls, the Buccaneers have jumped out to a 2-0 start as they look for their third-consecutive NFC South division title. Things will get considerably more difficult on Monday night with Tampa Bay playing host to the reigning NFC champions from Philadelphia.
Will Jalen Hurts and the Eagles win their third-straight game or will the Bucs’ surprising run continue? Before we check the odds on the Week 3 matchup, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2023.

Eagles unimpressive again
Philadelphia followed up a 25-20 week 1 win over New England with a 34-28 victory over Minnesota last Thursday night. With former offensive coordinator Shane Steichen now heading up the Colts, the Eagles offense looks like a shadow of itself early in the season. However, you can’t argue with 2-0 in a league as unpredictable as the NFL.
D’Andre Swift had a career night with 175 rushing yards and a touchdown in week 2. Devonta Smith also caught four balls for 131 yards and a score, but a perturbed A.J. Brown was filmed ranting on the sidelines after being largely ignored in the passing game for the second consecutive week.

Derek carr’s debut
Baker Mayfield passed for 317 yards in Tampa Bay’s 27-17 win over Chicago on Sunday, connecting with Mike Evans six times for 171 yards and a touchdown. Rachaad White added 73 yards and a score on the ground while the Buccaneers defense delivered six sacks on Justin Fields and picked him off twice.
Todd Bowles’ team is clearly relishing the role of underdog after being dismissed by pundits following Tom Brady’s offseason departure. However, Hurts is a far superior player to Fields, who looks to be on his way out of the league, and the Eagles defense will pose Baker’s biggest challenge of the season to date.
Tampa Bay vs Philadelphia
Tampa Bay is a 6-point home underdog on Monday Night Football with an over/under of 46 points. Todd Bowles’ bunch was 5-4 at Raymond James Stadium last season and won their home opener versus the Bears on Sunday. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is 1-0 on the road this year after posting a 7-1 record away from home in 2022.
While the Buccaneers have been strangely impressive early in the season, it’s hard to see their offensive line holding up to big Jordan Davis and rookie Jalen Carter. After being pressured 17 times versus Chicago’s far-inferior defense, Mayfield could be a sitting duck in this one.

Best Bet
Luckily, this is only one of two games this Monday night as it might get out of control early. Despite looking like a shell of last year’s team, Philadelphia will cruise to an easy 6-point cover in week 3.
